Hey, I was in the Bahamas for a while. All the green was brown, stemmy, seedy, and ground up. For all that however, some of it had (2 different bags really stuck out) a pretty awesome buzz- though the potency was lackluster. Anyone eve grown oi any bagseed from "regs" and found anything interesting? I saved 3-4 dozen of the seeds from the best stuff I got down there- and I think I'm gonna start doing them 1-2 at a time soon to see what happens in a "real grow"

Anyone have any personal experience with "keepers" from bag seed- not dank bagseed.... Anyone have any first hand experience with seeds from that region

I've grown bagseed when I was a kid- out doors, with no love and it grew into- more crappy smoke. Hahaha.

I have grown a few Carribean beans.
All Jamaican in origin.
Some were great ( 4 hour happy ride ),
Others were a disappointment.
Good luck. Try growing them 12/12 from seed.
Naturalized Carribean pot has a long season, which is not good for indoors.
12/12 from seed will help with that.
Outdoors you better be in a sub-tropical geographical location, as the Lambsbreath I grew would not finish in the Midwest of USA.

This is most likely from the DR- though possibly Jamaica. I may go 12/12 from seed, once I get a photo grow flowering again. I'm pretty well familiar with the pitfalls of carribean genetics- with their notoriously long flowering times and apparent difficulties in acclimatizing to other regions/ locals. I've grown out marleys collie and early Jamaican from sensi as well. If any of these actually germ ill be intersted to see how prone to hermi they are, as well as what the phenotypic expressions are. They are kind of low priority- though if I find a keeper mom- I will make sure to spread some cuts around to a few friends as well as keep her and dust her.

When grown , harvested dried an stored correctly your bagseeds can be quite a bit better than the bag it came from....

I used to grow mexi bagseeds.
Stoney as any bought today.

But they didnt finish tell nov or later

Hahaha.

That's what I'm expecting to a degree- and why despite the ghastly appearance of the weed they are sourced from- I went ahead and kept seeds from the most interesting buzzes

I'm pretty confident I can do a way better job with the raw materials... I hope they do ok under lights though- it seems some carribean strains don't... We shall see

They can do good indoor don't veg long 2weeks or just 12/12 this is the light cycle in the Caribbean what you had was most likely either Jamaican or Vinci(St. Vincent) thats the most prominent ones to find after there are some more...they can get real tall make some real danko cared for like most indoors nutes etc. can really show out, but some of them may hermie. just found sum old beans while cleanin up from Cuba it was really good...wish ya luck..

Yeah. St Vincent's, Jamaica and Dominican Republic are defo the major sources of reefer down there. I'm
Not wigging out about hermis- if I find anything like a keeper- even if somewhat hermaphroditic- as long as she/he isn't out if control about it...

Whenever I get around to starting these I won't be vegging for long at all- or I will do 12/12 from seed- and no LST or topping the seed grown plants. These are of interest to me as they are- not as I can make them- so I'm quite interested in phenotypic expression Amongst them more so than manageability or yield. Once I see what they are- then I will start looking at manageability, practicality, and yield.

Sounds good let em take there time and good nutes they'll have a good yield...check this out if you would like to see sum Vinci and Jami..in its home town...http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uNKx2sjK2J8

If the link doesn't work just look on u tube for "Strain Hunters - St. Vincent" roll one and enjoy da show...stylez rasta smoke
