Although not made by the bees, you CAN make canna honey. Just a bit of bho or nice kief, blend into RAW honey, not pasteurized. We have found a huge colony of wild bees here & want to build top bar hives & fill them with bees when the colony divides this year. Have watched the colony for 3 years, so we know about when to move our hive next to the wild one.
You can use raw honeycomb, just crushed, with or without the bee larvae in them. I like to blend/whip this very well, as it is FULL of yummy good stuff for the old bod. Yeah, and a lot more appetizing if you can't visibly identify any little "bee bits" in there. Add the kief or some hash, blend well & you're done. Makes a very nice breakfast treat on toasted wholegrain.
You can buy it made that way (blended w/bee larvae), but it's way more expensive. When you crush the comb in with, you get lovely propolis which is very beneficial.
