Hey all.
Basically, this happened: https://www.autoflower.org/f43/grow...ic;-first-grow-so-c-c-11169-2.html#post214329

It looks like textbook overwatering, and considering I did water sooner than usual in order to try and fix the pH problems I was having.

I'm a first timer, so no experience prior to this..
here's my full info

Your Equipment:
.1) Type and wattage of lights. (MH, HPS, CFL's, tube fluorescents, LED's)
----an 80 watt CFL

.2) Distance from tops?
----about 7 inches

.3) Reflector type? (cool tube set-up, bat wing, enclosed reflector, bare bulb...)
----None
.4) Is there a consistent fresh air supply?
---- Yes
.5) Do you have an exhaust fan and a circulation fan?
----Yup, both. A large extractor fan and smaller intake which blows across the plant.
.6) What are the bulb wattages, kelvin ratings, and schedule?
-----Wattage=80, it's a blue one, so
Your medium:
.7) Specific brand and type of soil, (coco, peat based soilless...) and anything you've added to it. (vermiculite, perlite, worm castings...)
.8) Size of container.

Your nutrients and water:
.9) Source of water. (tap or filtered) What's it's ph?
---dechlorinated tap water. I'd mixed in some microground calcium carbonate dust to up the pH to 7.7.
10) Method of checking water ph. (ph pen, test strips, aquarium test kit...)
---digital pH metre.
11) Method of adjusting water ph. (phosphoric acid, white vinegar, hydrated lime, PH Up...)
As above
12) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) and current feeding schedule.
----n/a,
13) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering?
---watered 2 days ago, and due to a pH problem emerging, I screwed up and watered again.
14) Any additives or tea's? (Superthrive, CalMag, molasses, Mother's Earth...)
---Made a nutrient tea 2 waterings ago, plants seemed to like it.
15) Are your ph levels stable, or do they fluctuate?
---fluctuate somewhat recently.
16) What is your ingoing water's ph? ...your runoff ph?
---ingoing was 7.7, runoff was 6.2. This is low, but I kept it as that due to it being a small increment up from the previous 5.8
17) Do you foliar feed? If so, with what, how often, and at what time do you spray?
--Nup
Your growroom:
18) Indoors or outdoors?
----Indoors
19) What size of closet, room or hut?
---PC inside a closet
20) What are the temps and humidity levels while lights are on? ...With lights off?
about 27-28°C on, about 24-25°C off. On 20/4 off.
21) Have you seen signs of insects in the growroom?
---Nup, and I do occasionally examine the leaves with a loupe.
Your strain:
22) What strain are you growing? (Indica dominate or Sativa dom?)
--An auto feminised blue mystic, it's an mostly indica - ruderalis
23) Is this an photoperiod strain?
---no
24) How old is the plant?
---Day 28, but it's unusually small due to problems early on.
25) In what life-cycle is it? Vegetative, pre-flowering, flowering, rippening?
--Veg.
26) From seeds or clones?
--seed.

Thanks in advance for any help.

if you could use a chopstick to make some holes in your soil (as many and as deep as possible)....then set the containers on a pad of kitchen paper towels or terrycloth works well too....turn the fan a little closer to the plants and lower your cfl a few inches, or add another temporary lightt....in 24 hours they should be perked back up...best of luck

Thanks hereb4.
I've just done that, put some kitchen towels underneath it and poked some holes, though stopped when I felt resistance, since I don't want to damage the roots. I also used a pair of thin nosed scissors to cut the drainage holes slightly bigger.
I think what exacerbated the problem is that I watered just before the lights turned off and they're still off for another half hour, hence it's been quite cool for the last few hours.

"they have hearts like lions" I was taught...so a little over-loving may set them back a little and effect the yield and appearance, but in the end...it's all good meds.

Hehe, ayye, true. I mean, this first plant has had a rough life, but I have 4 more seeds, and in honesty, I didn't expect my first try to be great either. That said, I now know extensively what not to do ^_^.

Hey all. I've watered with pH 8 mineral water, runoff pH was 6.8, which seems about okay, since I'm thinking that means the soil pH is slightly lower than that. The plant does seem to be visibly recovering though, here's some photos of it. I've also took a few of the parts that have been damaged by the pH problems. As you can see, it's perked up a bit, though some leaves are still kinda droopy.

I also noticed the stem seems to be leaning slightly. You can see this best in the second picture. Is this anything to worry about?

Dont worry about it leaning a little mine do the same i just move the pot left or right more to bring it back... Also with CFLs you can have them like 3-6 inch from the top i use cfls 300w and 125 dual spec i have them as low as 3inch if i wana change the node spacing :peace: Si if you want any more info mate you can Pm me :smokebuds:

Looking good WisdomKarp, it should recover fine. As HereB4 has said, they are resilient plants and can handle quite a bit of "over love", good luck.

depending on what the deal is, it can be useful to swap the medium *immediately* or run the hose from an airpump through one of the drainage holes and aerate from the bottom..
