Hi everyone I’m new to the forum and would like to say hi to you all.

I finally took the plunge and decided to have a go at growing my first auto, it was potted on the 8th of this month after it had sprouted using the wet paper towel method.

It is in a 16l pot and Im using biobizz soil which initially was soaked with about 4l of water, which I let sit a few hours before putting the seedling in then under a 1000w Led light in my grow tent , it has 2 light settings veg and bloom it’s set to veg.

Plant was coming along nicely enough so 2nd week I did the same watering routine, everything looking good, last watering which was maybe 4 days ago I changed from filtered water to a mix of that and tap water and I added some ph down so ph was at 6.5.

I gave it some water so I could check ph level as I hadn’t done this at all since I began as I had no metre, anyway the run off was 6.5 so I thought everything would be fine so watered her again, last couple of days it’s looked very sick and wondering what I’ve done wrong.

Have I over watered ? Should I be giving it some nutrients at this point ? I have bottled biobizz grow, bloom and top max, light need to be flipped to bloom ? Should I just give up and start again ? It’s a northern lights x big bud , any help and advice be greatly appreciated, thanks fellas.

Looks like classic overwatering.......which many do......With a autoflower, especially seedlings to this juvenile stage, less is more. They need little water, and water around the plant to encourage the roots to grow and seek out that water...IMO they dont need much 'food; at this stage...she will later, and her water needs will increase.... At this point, let her dry out, dont water again until the top layer of soil is dry. Also consider getting Optic Foliar Overgrow, she is ready for some foliar love, she will reward you... This btw is one of the worst times to stunt her, hopefully she recovers and recovers fast.. get a small fan on her, you can buy tiny rechargeable units on Amazon that will fit in the pot and circulate some air around her and make her dance a little, I do this in the newborne/seedling stage and they always reward me with a thicker and hardy stem.... Good luck.

Thanks very much for the reply, I had a small oscillating clip on fan arrive today I’ll get that sorted out asap, will need to order a bottle of overgrow, cheers mate.

I forgot to add 4L is a ton of water for such a young plant, personally I wouldn't give it over 16 ounces, a simple bottled water..... and with my babies, I prefer spring water, as it contains trace elements and minerals that are beneficial to the plant and the biology that lives in the soil/root zone...... if you must use tap water, prepare a day early and let it sit with the lid off for atleast 24hrs to allow the chlorine to dissipate... Chlorine is bad for your good guy microbes that reside in the root zone.......

Thanks for the advice..I’ve a kush on the go too atm, she isn’t even a couple weeks in yet but I’ll apply all of the above to the kush in regards to watering etc, learn from my mistakes, all valuable info and much appreciated, cheers.

Easy to overwater in larger pots even though biobizz drains well. I grow in 2 ltr pots of bblm....easy to feel weight but I still use a moisture meter. I'd think one would be very useful in larger pots. I can't imagine my old ass picking up 16 liter pot!

Haha , thanks for the tip, is there any specific meter you’d recommend ? Thanks.

I just use a $10 cheapo from Walmart....a good ph meter is where you put your money.

Just wanted to say big thanks to @LittleMT and @automan2 ,thanks for the advice it seems to be working wonders so thought I’d post up some pics and let you know how she’s coming along.
