I did a seed run with some Amnesia Haze. I then grew out 140 seeds. The result was that I recieved exactly 70 plants that looked like indicas with short fat christmas tree like plants and the other 70 looked like sativas tall skinny with long wispy buds. I was shocked to say the least. So as stated above is this possible or is it just dumb luck or are they still crosses regardless of what they look like.

Were both male and female that you used for your seeds amnesia haze?

Actually they were feminized autos. I used colloidal silver. The original seeds were bought from Ilgm. I dont really know their history before that. They were both amnesia haze

Absolutely with a lot of work and back crossing and a very good knowledge of the strain in the hybrid your trying to single out.... Just every time you breed a run with them pick the ones that resemble the parent your looking for the most.... It's a lot of work but most certainly can be done, and for that matter a lot of strains out there are just hybrids that have been stabilized so much that they retain their Phenos expressions your looking for, best of luck with your project!

The 50/50 results are definitely possible. It depends on the the genetics of the parents. That's what phenotype variation is.
It being exact is improbable, but definitely possible.

The plants are still crosses tho.

So these are F2 seeds which should show most variation also if crossed within themselves.

Simply pick up the phenos you prefer or think resemble mostly the parents and backcross every further plant generation with it. At about F4-5 it would get stable enough to be called a strain, maybe Amnesia Haze if you like:)

Thing is, since you don't know or have info on original parents, would be impossible to breed with a goal of resembling what you don't know. Instead select for phenos that you find most appealing to your taste.
See, amnesia are mainly two varieties(non auto), one is a SSH cut(or pheno) so it should be 50%haze, 25%skunk and 25%NL, these are the original parents of SSH, then selected to Amnesia.
The other Amnesia is the above Amnesia cut crossed with Nevil's Haze, but yours si most likely derived from the first one.

This Amnesia photo cut was probably crossed to a lowryder and backcrossed several times to the original cut.
Usually breeders work with different phenos from the original plant gene pool, this way next generations don't lose vigour with inbreeding and avoid bottlenecking.

I think both of your phenos(if pollenated with amnesia male) can be called amnesia auto, maybe labled F2 for who wants to know more:)
