I’ll have to look into this as well. My hands aren’t as steady as they once were and using a loupe is definitely tricky.I gave up on a loupe, there was no way I could hold it steady enough to examine live plants, and I did not like to rip pieces off to enable more effective inspection. Ditto for a Carson microscope. I now do trich inspections using macro photos taken with a digital camera.
I recommend that you get a wifi microscope, they are available for not a whole lot more than a good loupe.
