I grow to provide medicine to family and friends in need.
This was going to be my best girl ever. By far. Been battling this calcium issue. I was seduced by "experts" telling me not to worry about PH in a microbe rich organic grow. And perhaps PH is not the issue. COCO grow. Light dry topdress with Rainbow Bloom a couple weeks ago.
I have been watering at 6.5 and then 6.3 last few waterings. Probably do 6.0 tonight.
Only Other thing is I may have gone a little crazy with the ground up banana peels (potassium) but did/do not think the banana peels could deliver that much potassium. 1st 2 pics show older leaves no issues. Should be in full stretch right now.

I think @Mañ'O'Green grows organic and might be able to advise you on some possible solutions.

Alright, so it is well established that using LED and coco usually calls for a Cal deficiency. Coco is a Calcium hoarder in itself, and for some
reason LEDs makes the plant demand more for it, probably the enhanced spectrum triggers it. You really should think of supplementing regardless of your problem

Adding to that, excess Potassium can cause Nitrogen, Calcium and Magnesium deficiencies. So it looks like a double whammy here. Some plants look far too into the problem to actually recover, but if you add a cal/mag supplement it should help you see it to harvest.

Ya I have been adding cal/mag as well as calcium carbonate from vinegar and eggshells all the way through the grow. I would be surprised if it is potassium but it is possible. Did not think banana peels could be that potent. Still dont know. My water has calcium in it as well. I was watering in at 8-8.5 due to so much information about organic bio diverse microbes taking care of it. I am leaning towards PH. For the last week I have been pounding the calcium harder and watering to runoff. Only last 2 waterings have I been PHing down. Going plain water, normal dose cal mag, and PH 6.0 tonight.
???

pH is always important! In hydro it is absolutely critical to a level of obsessive compulsive disorder. In organics, very permissive. You can water 8 many times without issues, but not an entire grow. OF course, this is very strain and soil profile dependent. If it is well buffered, sure, it wont be (much) of a problem. Others soil types, you can definitely suffer, as you seems to be.

You're adding quite a bunch of stuff. My guess is nute lockout due to excess pH and potassium.

Also, it could be calcium, but it could also be deficiency on other micros.

My 0.02c - defoliate lightly, and run a few watering at 5.8-6.2, and then check new growth, to see it it is any of the bottom suspects in this list

Ya. I'm sure there is plenty of calcium. I cant get my head around too much potassium (guess its possible) I only added a tsp or less of banana peels a couple times in 3 weeks in a 5 gal. I think not PHing is my issue. Even if the microbes will buffer the PH for you in an ideal situation I think PHing has to be done. Too soon old too late smart. I gave more calcium a try for a week. On the PH now. Going 6.0 tonight. that will be 3 consecutive PHed waterings. 6.5, 6.3, 6.0. I'll go 5.8 tomorrow. then repeat the cycle. I feel like I failed. Was lazy not PHing. Was following advice if people I thought knew better than I. Hopefully a week of PH will tell the story. If it is not that I will be at a total loss.

Funny thing is chart shows calcium sweet spot at 7

I could be wrong but I don't think dry amendments are going to work the same in coco as in soil. Being more of a hydro material, I would think you need to be using more of a tea.

I do lots of tea. Kinda an addict. No heavy potassium teas have been used though. Another reason for not PHing.

I just foliar sprayed calmag at 1.5ml per liter. Saw recommendations for 1-3 ml. Split the difference. It seems logical that the foliar may be able to bypass any potential lockout. Thoughts?
