Problem: browning and peeling of fan leaves

Medium/grow method: ocean forest soil

Feed: and supplements used:just watered with mega crop but problem happened before.

water source:distilled water

Strain/age: creme dele chem x forum stomper

light used:spider-farmer 2000

Climate:72-80 F anywhere between 30 to 50 percent humidity

Additional info:just watered with mega crop. Having this problem for a week or so now. It started small with brown dots kind of rust color. Seems to be on the lower fan leaves. I just got a bottle of cal mag in yesterday but haven’t used it. I have 3 other plants that aren’t doing this.

Is it just the one leaf or is it on all the leaves at that level or more? I only ask, because I had one leaf go weird like that and it turned out I had been splashing it with nutes every time I watered, so that leaf burnt but all my others were fine

It’s on more leaves now with the plant. Some leaves just fell off. I noticed it started out as rust like little spots then it got worse. I see the dots starting on some other plants but not nearly as bad. I watered again with cal mag hoping that helped. Also, I finally got a blue lab ph tester. I was just feeding straight distilled water the whole time not checking the ph thinking I would be fine. I’m checking to my run off from now on to see where I’m at to make sure I stay in my range.

I need to see the whole plant but it looks like you spilled something on that one leaf from that picture?
I thought the same thing. But I never watered with any nutrients before just pure distilled water. I will get some updated pictures to give you a better look.

So you water with Distilled water? not RO water?

Do you add nutrients?
What medium are you in?

Distilled water is so devoid of any minerals or other materials that it can leech nutrients from the soil/medium at a fairly high rate.. especially if PH'd drastically different than the medium.

Also to note, there is not really such a thing as "calmag" deficiency... Calcium deficiency, or Magnesium deficiency are possible but different things...

What you show is closest to a Mg deficiency but I like others, think you spilled on the leaves.
I've got a photo on my phone of an Mg deficiency I've been recovering from in my tent I will share it momentarily for you to compare and contrast to what you see across your plant.

Here is a photo or two of some Mg deprived leaves found in mid aged growth of a 6 week old auto growing in coco. Hope this helps.

Fyi my treatment is an increase of calimagic in my reservoir, and a foliar spray at 1.0 EC of calmag dosed water pH at 6.3

It appears to have slowed the issue over a period of days at 2x a day light spray.

I’m using fox farms ocean forest soil. I haven’t used any nutrients at all yet just watered with straight distilled water. Thinking my soil would carry me 3 or so weeks before I needed to add nutrients. What you said makes a lot of sense now since you said that. For some reason I had it in my head distilled water was always a certain ph. I just finally watered with mega crop yesterday. I also just got a ph meter so now I’m making sure I keep my ph in range and am checking my run off now as well. I got some pictures for you guys. The last one or the small rust color dots seems how it starts out and then it progresses to the worse looking ones.

Can you take a picture of the whole plant? Did you get a root probe PH meter? You need to test the PH in the root zone where it counts. I recommend an Accurate 8 or Blue Lab - they make several probe types be sure to get the correct one if you go that way.

FFOF has many cases through the infirmary.
