Hi Guys and Girls. I have a lot of spiders in my garage and no telling what else. I had a small case of tripps on last grow. Ladybugs took care of that. I do not like chemicals. So my question is to all of you is if I bomb the place does it get into everything and then need to be washed or does it just die off and non toxic any longer after awhile. In other words. Can I set them off air it out and then go on like normal? Thanks.

I would hesitate to use a bug bomb, widow maker.
We have tons of hobo's, black widows, some recluse and even scorpions, but the kill of a bug bomb is not as target specific as we'd like.
To minimize killing off-target (lots of good spiders out there, and we love our lizards :D: ), try a commercial grade Permethrin or Cypermethrin. That way you can target spray specific problem areas, and get a decent residual kill. :2cents:

One thing to note: I haven't used Cypermethrin products, but the residual with pyrethrins is sort of a joke IMHO. I've always attributed the apparent "residual" to the fact that you have just killed off your spiders food source.
What kind of spiders are they? Dangerous to humans, or just (so to speak) lady bugs that spin webs?
You may not have to treat at all.... :tiphat:

Imidacloprid is not to horrible if you are going to go chemy and you still have over 45 days to harvest.

I am not growing anything now. I thought it would be a good time to clean out everything. Do have plenty of Black Widows and others that make webs everywhere. Got some Tripps on last grow and a few spider mites. Like to just bomb the place clean and start fresh, nice and clean. Did not know about residue left from the bomb. I know people use them in their house so I was hoping it would be safe after doing it.

the imid would help with both trips and mites. do the spiders bother your plants? In my experience the pyrithium based bombs kill everything but the spiders. depending on where you are at a sulfur burner would be non toxic. some hot shot strips might do well to. Hot shots and foggers are essentially coating your room in toxins, I would read up on the particular pesticide you choose and see how toxic it is.
