Buds are almost only sugar leaves?

Hi Afn,

I'm doing my first outdoor grow in a greenhouse with a couple of different plants. The one that's really wierd to me is my Mexican Airlines since it's been "praying" insanely the whole grow, producing a lot of trics and having nice colour, but... The buds are not very beefy and mostly consist of sugar leaves.

All the pistils are orange and the buds haven't gained size for about a week. The trics are cloudy. Anyone seen this before or know what to do or what's happening? Should i just harvest it or wait?

The pictures are about a week old, but basically still looks the same, albeit all pistils are orange now

I'd say you a have a good few weeks left until they're ripe. Everything seems to go a little slower outside.

I would say your issue is just genetics and not you, perfectly happy plants by the look of thing (extremely happy)... it looks like its just the pheno expression of this plant. She not gong to produce fat nugs but small ones... but I will say this, I bet she gonna kick ass on the smoke, the runts and the small producers are always the killa smokers and produce the best highs

on pistols turning, it's a possible sign your plant is over the hump and heading towards the finishing... I would wait until you have about 70% brown hairs and then start the flush... if your growing organically no need to flush just carry on till the end

Airlines is a long growing strain let her finish out heavy yielder.
