I have this tiny Outdoor NL auto that was heat stressed. It is cooling down and the flowers are getting bigger but I had one that the bud leaves died starting at the stem and moving out. Now it has affected the entire little flower. I cut it in case it would spread. Is this bud rot?

I really cant tell from the pics mate. Bud rot is like grey brown cobwebs that literally rot away the bud.
Pull or cut open that bud for a closer look.
It normally affects the thickest buds so check them too.
Take some closer pics of the bud if your still not sure mate.

if it's soft, mushy, powdery looking surface, it's mold alright- :cuss: it can travel via the vascular system into new areas too,.. all you can do is treat it like gangrene, cut all affected area's clean off....

Thanks for the replies I have to look at it closer. It’s interesting that this affected flower was at the first node across from where I had to cut the other 1st node branch earlier. Maybe it got in from the open wound?

Is there anything you can do to prevent disease from entering an fresh cut.? Like for trees there’s an coating you can apply after pruning.
