Hookay soooo. Here's da eaarf...

Just kidding. Hookay here's da deal. I've got 2 nirvana bubbalicious autos I'm doing for my first grow. Here's my set up.

32x32x64 grow tent
2x 300watt galaxyhyrdo leds
2x 6500 100w cfls
2x 3 gals smartpot
Ffof soil
3x 6in lasco fans
Hanna champ ph meter
Fox farms nuits trio

I think that about covers it. Total cost around 500 bucks. I'm doing autos because they're quick and easy. I do a lot of indoor gardening over the winter so i already had the lights and tent. I just discovered autos and how compact they can be and finally decided to give this herb a shot at growing.

I chose bubbalicious cause of its short veg to flower period. Also because I heard the smell wasn't terrible and I'm not going to use a filter as smell isn't a big deal for me. I just don't want my house smelling like dank.. we'll see if the smell isn't as bad as they say in the coming weeks.

Anyways... I germed 2 seeds in a paper towel over night and both cracked and I put them in their finall 3 gal pots with Ffof soil. Right now my tent is full of other herbs and cacti. Also fungus gnats from the gf over watering while I was away. So the 2 ladies are in my closet, I know, how cliche.... so I have 1 of my galaxyhyrdo leds 20 inches away from the seedlings. I have 2 6500 100w cfls 2 inches above the seedlings, one on each plant. Right now I only have 1 6 inch fan glowing cool air over the plants. It keeps it at 72 degrees almost all day, topping at 78 in the afternoon.

I've sprayed both seedlings with 4 squirts of the spray bottle when I saw them break ground, no more since. Once my seedlings are a week old they get priority of the tent and the rest of the herbs have to fight for space on the window sill. Once I get them into the tent I'll use both 300w galaxyhyrdo leds and I might as well keep the 2 cfls working opposite corners of the tent and spin my plants regularly to get evendors lighting. I'll have 3 fans running, 2 intake and one exhaust. No filter or inline fan. 1 six inch fan keeps my tent at 74f already with both leds rocking and rolling for 16 hours a day so Im not worried.

But so far so good! Day 1 for both plants and can't complain. I'll start nutes after day 21 if they want it.

I feel like I've set myself up for success so far so we'll see how this grow goes. I wanted to start small to make everything easier for me. If it goes well I have a few more seeds I might start during the flowering of these little girls!

Anyways stay tuned. Not much to show so far but I'll try to keep you guys updated every few days.

And edit.. Idk how to change the pictures so youll have to tilt your heads

Oh and incase anyone is wondering about the galaxyhyrdo 300w leds, they're awesome. They run cool, and low stress training on my basil plants was insane. 4 basil's filied my whole tent, damn did my house smell good. I'll see how the bubbs like em and of course keep this thread updated and alive. But so far, after 5 months using the galaxyhydro I can't praise it enough, cheap and easy

Edit.. sorry for my poor English.. it's not my 1st language

Welcomec to AFN and congrats on starting your first grow! Nice set up for 2 plants. 60 days from now you'll be hooked like the rest of us! I have a 300w galaxyhydro 2nd gen as well. No complaints from myself nor the plants! Good luck!

Thanks Prophet!

Of course any help or pointers are welcomed with this grow.

Don't mind the crazy clothes hanger contraptions with the cfls. Once I get in to the tent it'll be much more organized. I can't stand crazy wires and I have like 6 going wildly into my closet. P.us my closet looks like aliens are abducting a mini cow at all times. My neighborhors must think I have a killer purple lava lamp running 20 hours a day

I had to remove the seed casing from the second bubb. I'm sure it would've fallen off but why slow stuff down. Now both plants are 1 inch tall and not showing any signs of stretching

Honestly not much to report yet. 2 more days of growth and very little to show. They seem to like the cfls 1 inch above them.

Also they're still in my actual closet, which I'm learning is getting very hot with the 1 300w led and 2 cfls. They both had slightly drooping leaves, so I gave them each .5 liters of water. They both popped right back up.

Bubbalicious [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] was the first to pop and hasn't stretched much since day one. The first set of leaves is slightly larger but I'm disappointed in their growth. I'm hoping they're just growing their roots big and strong.

Bubb [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] popped up a day after [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] and has been really lagging. I had to remove the seedlings casing manually since it spent a whole day with it on above ground. It's obviously 2 days behind where bubba [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] is. Oh well, all I can do is wait and see!

One 300w is more than enough to veg both those pots for some time. :pass:and light leaks will get you ripped off or busted. Those blurple lights are a beacon to bad JUJU. Get some panda film or a tarp and do some blackout work, then go outside at night and verify it . jmho .... :welcome:

Well you talked me into it, got the girls moved into the tent. I got everything rearranged so that my regular garden can still remain fruitful with my second led until it warms up enough for them to go outside. No more light is showing outside.

Now quick question. How are these plants going to react to one of my lights over my other plants turning off after 16 hours? The other is only running 20 hours over my ladies so I was thinking of splitting the difference and just having the one turn off 4 hours before the other so there's still 4 hours of total darkness. The other led is at 24inchs above the canopy of my basil plant and near the back of the tent so I can't imagine it'll be a huge deal.

Anyways, pictures make people happy. Nothing special just their new home.

Alright. Day 5 for my grow and I'm still disappointed from what I'm seeing. Compared to other nirvana bubbalicious grows I'm stalling by 1 leaf set already on both plants. They both are still dark green and showing slight growth daily, I'm just not seeing the results others are seeing with this strain or with autos in general.

First thing I noticed today was that my RH was never higher that 44%. It was around 30% all day, which I know isn't good. So I took my huge humidifier, which can chew through 4 gallons of water a day on high, and stuck it next to my passive inlets on medium. I'll see how it looks in the morning.

Another problem I have is colder temperatures. Dropping to 62f right before the lights come back on. My house heats so unevenly so I'm thinking of putting my tent in my water heater, washer and dryer room, which never drops below 72f. Just gotta check fire regulations and dangers of that. I don't wanna burn my house down...

And lastly just a quick update on a change in my tent setup. I have 1 300w galaxy hydro 12 inches above my seedlings with 2 6 inch lasko fans as exhaust and 1 of the same fans as input. Lots of air movement and all the leaves of my other plants are constantly moving. I'll be purchasing another oscillating fan for when they get bigger to provide airflow between the light and canopy..

I know this probably is a long winded report for an uninteresting grow on day 5 but I want people to see everything that happens from day 1 to harvest. Hopefully with some helpful input along the way we can all learn something new!

Nothing wrong with that for day 5 you can just see the second set of true leaves starting. I would bump the light to 24" if you have the room, you are still going to get tight node spacing. My veg cupboard never got above 30%rh unless I had several ready to flower plants transpiring... You won't suffer noticeably from low humidity at most a few twisted leaves. As to 62° that is the air temp, the soil temps should remain higher longer. I personally leave my lights on 24/7 for this very reason "a stable temp and RH". High temp and high relative humidity with lights on, bam the lights go out and the grow room cools spiking the RH and this will condense.... just one way to develop mold issues later on.

Best advice I could give you is to sit back and observe, snap a photo every day. You already gave the plants .5 liters so no need to do a thing for the next 4-5 days let the roots grow.... enjoy the zen :greenthumb:

Also great job taking care of the light leak issues in a timely fashion! I wouldn't put my grow in a high traffic area where a service man of some sort might need to access, saves you from a teardown. Have some reps to get you started
