Hi All. I've been lingering for quite a while, finding out a lot of info and reading grow journals. I've completed 5 grows. My success has varied but all survived and gave me around 1oz each. Not great but not too bad.
Anyhoo. I'll get to the point. My Dinafem XXL white widow auto has been growing great. Just finished week 3 and lots of new, lush green growth. Then, like the bumbling idiot I am, I've snapped the main stem clean off whilst trying to start LST. I've tried tape etc today but it's just in such a bad place that I can't get the tape to keep it in place.
It's broken just above the 1st node. It's so close to the node I can't get my tape/splint to stay in place. I've put the top straight into some water to keep it alive.
What do you guys reckon is my best move? If I can get my clumsy hands to fix the break will it be better than just leaving it off? Should I try to clone the bit that snapped off or just forget about it? I don't have any cloning supplies but I can go out and grab some later if it's worth a try???
I've got lots of seeds so I can start another one off if you think my yield will be too small to bother continuing the grow. But dammit, I wanted a head start on this plant since I'm harvesting my current flowering plant this week.
This is my biggest downer since I started to grow The plant has been topped, basically, but it's so low down that there's not many leaves. Growth will be very seriously stunted.
Any advice would be appreciated guys. Thanks!
