ive got 10 reg sour 60s and thqaught if i grow them and pic the biggest yeilder, and get the male sour 60 ive found in my seeds and pollenate her,

what would i expect? woudl it stablise the pheno or give me alot more lol

You would have more sour 60s. That's all. If you want to stabilize certain traits in the strain you have to select and breed plants with those traits in them. For example, if you kept breeding the largest male to the largest female you will get larger plants. Do that for a few generations and you'll have slightly larger sour 60s.

It depends on if the strain is true breeding or not. Expect a lot of F1 variation from hybrid plants, less variation in stabilized strains. What's the info on the Sour 60 strain?

I would breed more for potency than size, as if you dont breed for potency then it will disappear very fast......but if you breed for potency some great plants can be selected from in future generations.

I go along with Cres about breeding for potency as it should always be viewed as one of the most important considerations. I also breed for phenos and early finish so I will just throw in that idea after all I am in Canada. Lots of other considerations like resistance to frost and pests are also important. I like low to the ground plants.
