Hello all... I have been in the seed breeding business for 3 years now.. I live in West lower Michigan in the USA.. I currently have 16 Strains of Feminized seeds on hand ... In the last few years I have been asked if I carry autoflowers... My answer sadly has been no... So I want to be able to say yes. And that is why I'm here... I have very stable feminized seed Genetics which I'm very proud of and hope that someone can help me on this Autoflower breeding I must get into to stay competitive.. I have heard mixed reviews on the quality of Autoflowers & I really have never tried them due to the reviews & styles of the correct way to grow them.. I'm currently in love with The Hash Plant short flowering time + heavy yields & Gorilla Glue #4 for the high resin production & quality... I also enjoy the Bomb strains from bomb seeds.. Currently I'm running Pineapple Express - Sour Diesel- The Hash Plant & Gorrilla Glue #4.. So I wont be crossbreeding anything this round... But I'm seriously considering crossing Hash plant & GG#4 my next run.. Maybe call it Hash Glue? Anyway I was just wondering how many if any people are from Michigan on here as well... ... I'm 75% Dutch to by the way so this is totally in my blood lmao...

What's up my man. I'm sure there are plenty of Michigan folks around just don't know if there willing to come out and say it. It gets that way on open forums. But if your looking to breed autos go to the main page and find the breeders corner they do good work down there.

As for the potential y and yield bullshit. Just look around this site, it won't take long to dispelled those rumors. .welcome to AFN

Awesome... I love breeding seeds & I do well with donations... People ask me to mail them within the state & its just too sketchy for me to figure that out safely.. But again I have never done autoflower because its such a hit & miss on reviews on flower time and quality... I wish someone could show me why they are getting so popular... What kind of lighting schedules does everyone use? How & when do you use what nutes? Can anyone show me some quality strains to look out for?

Dude check out the MEPHISTO GENETICS forum. They have insane hybrid vigor huge rezin crusted nugs. I was blown away. You won't be disappointed. Cross reference them over at seedfinder has nothing but awesome reviews. Hope this helps get you started.
Peace

Autos can be grown on any light schedule but benifit best from schedules with 18 hrs of light or more. The reason they are so popular is because majority of the people buying seeds are not commercial growers. Now that auto potency is up around the level of photos and yield is up above 100 grams per plant in 70 to 80 days the ability to sample and have many strains on hand is very appealing. There's not a photo grower I know of that can put out the variety or the weight I can in a 3x3 tent over 1 year.

The only downsides are consistantly producing the same result and the ability to clone. This is the a chilies heel for autos being the only thing grown and photos being a thing of the past. If a commercial grower hits a home run and has the perfect genetics and size plants he want he can clone it over and over and keep that strain intact.

@mephisto IS the top shelf when it comes to the autos I've grown. If you want size no one does it better than Dutch passion.... sweet seeds leads the way in flavor from the reviews I get

Hey peaceful welcome man.. I have a huge crush in @mephisto and @FastBuds both companies are dedicated to auto breeding, and there genetics are just amazing!!!

there auto genetics are so damn stable, I can grow 5 FB WCOG autos, and they all look the same.. they have just about bread out the phenotype s..

AFN Rocks

If I may I'd like to add another pluss to autos and one of the main reasons I'm here learning everything I can auto.
Autos in a greenhouse or straight up outdoor never need 12/12. So no more put the tarp on the greenhouse...take the tarp off the greenhouse every stinking day all summer long. Booya autos rull

Hey isn't Michigan state where the keepers of that old old old school roadkill skunk are? Heck I'd drive out there for a cut or a pocket full o beans of that stuff.
