Oh man, did you use a Brawny paper towel or a Fiesta papertowel?

That's the way man. I've tried all manner of starting and paper towel is the best imo. I also like to kickstart it by tossing the plate on top of my T5. It warms it up perfect. I've had beans crack in under 24 hours many times this way.
