Anyone used one of these Blue Labs meters?
Any comments to make?

I bought an Accurate 8 as advised on here bud sadly it was a dud and did not work.
I bought this from America, so shipping and time was also an issue. As far as I can see there still not available in the UK.
So Ive gone with Blue Labs, done me proud in the past.

It seems measuring PH in soil is something of a black art.

Im using Bluelabs since 5 yrs now and i can say what Blue heard they are the Top Notch stuff to get.

I love my bluelab trucheon and have plans to buy this soil ph meter too but can only buy one thing at a time and & got a list as long as my arm lol. Next thing on the list right now is the new GN LED.

Will be good to get a report from you if you do get this meter.

I haven't used one but have heard over the years that bluelabs is about the best you can get. Should be a nice bit of kit. around £150 in the UK

Nice bluelab stuff here too

The Blue Labs soil ph meter arrived.
Its easy enough to set up. Simply plug in the probe, soak this in clean water for an hour. Calibrate and away you go.

My soil pots are reading ph 5.7 to ph 5.9, so a bit low I think.
I use Advanced Nutrients PH perfect sensi with filtered water thats got a PPM reading of zero.
I set my lovely brew of love and nutrients to ph 6.5 by using a pipette of PH up.

Q. Is 6.5 about right for soil ?
Q. If we take an average from my soil as PH 5.8, thats 0.7 lower than what Im aiming for. Shall I mix my next feed at PH 7.2, that being 0.7 higher than whats currently going in. This should right things up shouldn't it? :dunno:

Hi True, 6.5 is fine for soil pH and your plan to water with pH 7.2 initially is a good one. Just check your soil again an hour or two after watering to see how you are doing. Also try to check pH with about the same soil moisture level each time as this will impact the reading you get
