Lost two crops last summer: cheese xxl, blue Kush and white widow due to mould whilst they were flowering. They were doing brilliantly until the curse struck. All Dinafem seeds, so I'll stick with the good folks at Dinafem.
I live just north of Newcastle. UK not New South Wales!
Summer here is usually an afternoon in July.
Any suggestions for a resistant Dinafem strain would be most appreciated.

Cheers.

Did you grow these outside or inside? Can you give an idea of the Temps and RH the plants are growing in along with airflow. You may want to go with something along the lines of Critical+ 2.0 Auto but I'm sure with more details myself or perhaps @Dinafem-Mark would have some suggestions.

hi there , an ingredient that is used as a mold inhibitor is potassium sorbate ( E202 ), could put a little bit in with your feed as a preventor , thats what im gunna try as ive been in the same problems as what your experiencing in past , i have just got some off ebay £2 and im gunna add to my regime , seems a usefull additive an water soluble

Just going off this initial post and with the other outdoor UK grows I have seen this season I will assume that this was an outdoor, UK grow?. This was a very bas season here in the UK. The start was good but the middle of the season June-August were very bad months and a lot of growers and not just Dinafem strains got hit with the "Dreaded bud rot" or bad "Mold" issues.

I can tell you the strains that have done well for several years here in the UK and some even this year have still done very, very well.

I would have to say one of the best strains or most popular strains here in the UK is out auto flowering White Widow, I have seen quite consistent results with this strain but it is an auto so yields between 25-125g/plant I have seen a few over 150g this was in 2014. This season's average has been 75g/plant. For photoperiod strains in the UK very good results can be achieved with our OG kush, Blue hash and as @lilm00re14 has said both critical+ and more specifically critical+2.0 was designed for high humidity and highly mold resistant due to the cutting used for the 2.0v also called "the Bilbao" cut.

Next season on AFN I hope to run a best outdoor grow thread for all the outdoor growers around the world so please check back in around early Feb 2017 to see if we are running this as we would love to have you along for the ride

If you need any more help just ask mate :pass: this has been a very bad year in the UK for the outdoor season, here,s hoping that next season is much better :pass:

All the best

Thanks for the input fellas.
All grown in pots outside, so I could keep them in sun as it moved throughout the day!
Hopefully next summer will be an improvement, it's been very damp here for two years. I'm on a steep learning curve, I suspect I overwatered them too? Still, let's get the mistakes outa the way and learn......
I'll certainly try the E202. In fact I'll try anything!
I'll definitely go for WW auto next year and also a few other auto strains.
No doubt I'll be bothering you for advice in the future.....

Cheers guys.

On another site I know a fella that will only grow Dinafems WW XXL in regards to autos. And this guy knows his stuff! Okay that settles it I must get a pack of Critical 2.0 now!:D Cant wait to see how Dinfems work out for me next season! Good luck on your growing over there in ole' cloudy gary, has to be frustrating! Have you tried running silica suppliments?

Aye,
It's frustrating. Considering I've lived in Australia, Spain and Croatia and never bothered growing! Perverse.
Silicon supplements? Never heard of it? I'll investigate that though, thanks.

thanx gary ! , its all trial an error aint it..........in my experience silica is good for growing ,it makes plants stronger an more resilient ,i seen a difference when i first introduced it ...... it makes up 10% of the earths crust so its very abundant in nature.

Over the last I would say 3-4 years our white widow auto and xxl version are proving very popular with the uk outdoor gg'er :toke:
