hi folks, i had a really busy week and was away for a couple of days. unfortounately this is what i came back to today. a friend was looking after them :( the badly affected leaves are dry and just snap if you touch them. there is black tips on the new growth, the tips of new calyxes and also on the sweet leaves. she's 60 days old and i reckon has another 2 weeks to go.her last feed was 4 days ago 3ml/per ltr biobizz bloom. i flushed her with rain water ( no ph meter) . i'll just have to give her a couple of days to recover and see what happens next. i'm not really sure whats goin on but looking at the def list i think it may be phos/nitrogen def caused by lockout?( i think my mate may have used tap water) anybody want to chime in and give an opinion? would appreciate any input/suggestions:smokebuds:View attachment 55635View attachment 55634View attachment 55643View attachment 55638View attachment 55637View attachment 55642View attachment 55641View attachment 55639View attachment 55640View attachment 55616View attachment 55615View attachment 55630View attachment 55631View attachment 55632View attachment 55633View attachment 55636View attachment 55610View attachment 55612View attachment 55613View attachment 55625View attachment 55614View attachment 55626View attachment 55617View attachment 55611

i wouldent say you got 2 weeks left looks like she ready now so the yellowing could be natural.the tip ends could be from your temp droping a bit low on lights out.

thanks for the input pigboy, but the trichs are still clear and shes on 24/0 . she has a bit of filling out to do and i'm afraid that whatever is going on is gonna stop those buds from swelling

When you have been feeding or watering have you ever been able to check the ph before its gone on your soil? it looks like later stages of N def, if you havnt got a ph meter there isnt really anything you can do

thanks mr.mc , i know i shouldnt even be bothering people about it while i dont have a ph meter:( i have been using only rainwater and biobizz fish mix and bloom with an occasional feed of molasses. do you think its gonna affect the bud itself? with only a couple of weeks to go i was just gonna give her plain water or should i give her one dose of fish mix to boost N?

If your harvesting soon I would just ride it out with plain water, then if you can get a ph meter before you start your next grow you will be all set to go, I got mine off ebay for under £10, I had 3 the same I only broke them due to been careless but they have done me well. if my water ph is 7.0 and I add full strenth terra bloom it drops the ph to 5.8-6.0 which is way to low (unless your growing hydro), mollases...... drops your ph like a stone in water, sometimes if I go sligtly over rasing the ph of my feed/water il use a tiny bit of mollases to bring it back down

thanks for the info on the molasses, i wasnt aware of that. i have ordered a ph meter this morning, its being shipped from the usa so i'll hold off on my next grow till then. thanks for the help:peace:

Boomer this looks almost exactly what I am dealing with to be honest. If you crispy leaves and black spots on the leaves its more than likely necrosis. Mine was a soil issue that didn't have the right micronutrients and then the soil became unbalanced and caustic to the plants. You did the right thing by flushing but I would recommend for you next grow adding a additive like great white or Humboldt myco or subculture b and subculture m. I am not a 100% sure that's what it is but it sure looks like it.

It is necrosis, it looks like the end of a N def. without a ph meter and using chem ferts this is to be expected.

just legged it down to the pet shop and got a testing solution. my water ph before nutes is 7.6!!! yikes!! gonna adjust it now and flush again.
mr mc., i only use organic nutes and ive never had a ph issue before with rain water. anyway, lesson learned and thanks for the help guys:smokebuds:
