Photography Black pheno DD ?

Ok I have a Duurty Dragon that I kept aside to make a small seed run . Used the pollen from a purple male to set this one to seed . This is the girl after I hit it a few days ago with the pollen . Was already purple , but has been getting darker and darker . The leaves are getting close to be so dark that they look black . ( pics do not do it justice)



Any input as to how often DD gets such a dark pheno would be appreciated . This is the first one i have had that has had the fans get so dark , and just keep getting darker . The bud formations are also getting darker daily . Also , the smaller leaves are also starting to turn .

I saw it once before on a DD. Got suuuuper dark. It was a Maine grown specimen.

Actually hoping the seed from this one produces more of the super dark pheno . Would like to continue breeding it out to see if I could get more like it . Just love the color of it .

I grow Black Pearl Chillies and the leaves also turn black.
What is unique about Maine water? Minerals or PH?

The water comment was tongue in cheek . It is the only auto I have outdoors right now that went that color . my Magic Dragons are all standard green , and the other DD were green with purple bud .

The soil for the ones outdoors was a basic mix of compost / promix bx . No nutes , just straight well water .

So far only mossy and Mr Mc have had Black Dragons (duurty is a pheno selection of black dragon).
And I got a black lady from a duurty dad :smokebuds: so black is rarely showed so far but not enough grows to compare. Use your chances and pollinate more branches to get more seeds and then play with them :thumbs:

And funny thing..... this is a male that is in the same 5 gallon pail as the black pheno . Funny how it also is going black just as it started opening up .



The male was a runt that I kept only because it had dark purple balls . I pollinated just the top of the black girl with another dark purple , but leaving this male in to maybe hit the bottom section.

Nice pics monkeypox... on another note if there was a vote for who has the best picture under their name... u and the guy with the skittles taste the rainbow girl would certainly be in the lead lol.

I have a Think Different that is showing black leaves on the tops. Who knows what causes this? My plants are outside and the nights have been in the 50s. Maybe thats what is bringing on the black. Ill try and get a picture up tomorrow. Great looking plants by the way.:clap:
