Plants are 30 days into 12/12 rockwool flood and drain. This is one plant of 8. Noticed some spotting on leaves, was told to check roots. Roots smell like straight mold.

Here are the roots:

Here is the spotting which only is on upper leaves of the primary cola/bud.

She is looking healthy otherwise:

The stuff comes off like little rocks, it's not slimy it's kind of hard. Real gross...
Should I brew a tea? Hydrogen peroxide?

Thanks for any help...

Why’s nobody helping here?

I’ve got something called Silver Bullet which is basically peroxide mixed with water that cost me £20. It does the trick for me in the mouldy root situations. There’s probably a much cheaper way of doing it yourself but I CBA with the faffing around!
I get the bottle and follow the instructions.. yee, I’m getting robbed but it works! [emoji41]

Thanks man!

I basically did about that.

First I removed as much by hand as I could.

Wasn't sure if it is mold or salt build up, so i soaked the bottom inch of the cube in a mild solution of a cleansing agent (cyco kleanse) and H202.

Then I added some bennies to the next few feeds.

It didn't seem to be hurting her actually, the spots were probably from under feeding.

Not sure how much of a problem it will be, but it definitely had me spooked.

I'm keeping an eye on it...

Thanks again for chiming in!

Cool. Fingers crossed it clears up.[emoji1694] That smell is pretty unmistakable... kinda like horse piss and shit if you’ve ever been around that. So now, to prevent this happening I add 0.5ml/L of the Silver Bullet to the mix every time.

It definitely will cause problems if it’s not treated, my plants turned really yellow all over so I pulled them out to flush the pots and that’s when the smell hit me. So a quick flush with that.. a couple of days out of the trays to dry out and a drop added to the reservoirs .. two days later they were on the mend. [emoji1360]

looking like some nice buds , hope you get that problem solved

Yeah, you're right about the smell. I'm not sure how I know it's the smell of mold, maybe from moldy bread, or an excessively damp room where drywall has been wet for long periods... But definitely mold.

It's lights out right now but in a few hours I'll check on her. Probably going to soak the bottom inch in peroxide again, and I'm adding hydroguard when it gets here (should be today).

Thanks again for the help!

She is a Dinamed CBD plus, the only pure cbd plant in the tent, so I'm hoping she comes out OK as pure CBD is what I like in the mornings sometimes.

She has better structure and is budding up better than 6 of the 7 other plants... She is solid genetics for sure.
