Hi everyone,

im new here, am on other forums but arnt getting enough correct info about my autos.

Im a new grower, done out doors, finally made the leaps to purchasing stuff for indoors.

My set up:

-Cabinet 1200mm long x 600mm wide x 1800mm high
-250w Hps with cooltube
-6" Hyperfan with Phresh Filter
-30Lt Rez
-50lt Grow Tub with Canna clayballs
-Recirculating drip system watering for 10 mins every 1 hr
-Canna Aqua Vega, Flores, Cannazym, Rhizotonic, PK 13/14
-18/6 lighting

I made a mistake and had no idea what to do at the start, so i had 4 Big Bang Autos in a 50lt tub lol

1 didnt make it, the other 3 did. 5 weeks ago from today they germinated.
1 week later i put them in the cabinet and set the hydro to run.

they look great, bit crowded, but ive sorta treated them like photo plants besides the lighting. I have not messed with the light cycle which is 18/6. ive just been trimming lower branches and leaves and big fan leave from the top to try let some light get down lower.

5 weeks now, they are stretching like fuck and im only just starting to see a couple of white hairs. they are about 80cm tall

What should i do? im runnning out of room.

Im still on Vege nutrients, should i change to bloom now?

What strain are they? Are they feminized seeds? They look great so have one plant that doesn't show strong auto flowering traits would be understandable but being all 3 makes me question whether they are really an auto flowering strain.

I suggest its Big Bang Auto from Greenhouse??? Well first of all to stop the Stretch You can start with the Flower Nutes. They will rapidly swap over from Stretching to focusing on Bud making. I would also switch the Lighcycle to at least 20/4 so they have enough Lights for the rest of their Life. 50l Hydro well ends up in nice fat Autos for Sure..i would go with a Single Lady for the next Run.

yes from greenhouse. they are ment to be feminised autos.

yep i realise that, 1 plant from now on hahahaha

ok so switch to flower nutes, then how many weeks till harvest you reckon?

another thing, is it ok to trim autos? or does it stress them too much?

and whats the reason for maybe switching to 20/4? just curious

and 1 last thing, should i just follow Cannas feeding measurements?

i have a PH and EC meter

PH now is 5.8 EC is 1.7 on the vege nutes with cannazym and rhizo

cheers guys and girls for your help :D

you might grow a little more running 20/4 however its not critical to run 20/4 . I run my autos on 16/8 most of the time as I see it as important to balance growth with energy consumption. Compared to 20/4 I save about $25.00 a month in electric usage. the difference between running 18/6 and 20/4 might gain you 5% in harvest so its up to you what cycle you run.

And Medic, why would the nutes have anything to do with triggering flowering? there is nothing in them ( unless your using something with growth hormones in it, PPA, or some such...) that would do that. flowering formula nutes, to my knowledge are merely formulated to make available the best balance of nutes for a plant that’s flowering. nothing in them should trigger anything. All the same nutes are already in the medium, flower nutes just change the ratio available. Or am I missing something?

Hello all, medi I've read the same thing about flowering nutes kicking off flowering but I've wondered about pop's point. If the change from grow to bloom is a rebalancing of the NPK ratio what triggers budding. For that matter why do we swap from grow to bloom. Does anyone know of good single part fert. for both? Your lighting sounds fine.
If you are having trouble with your plants getting oversized, just supercrop them.
There are tons of examples online, and several good examples of it on this site. lykaboss uses it for his scrog method and looking at his will show you what a plant can take.
It is basically squeezing your branches where you would like them to bend, rather than just bending them.
This loosens the fibers of the branch so that they lay over and are not as apt to snap.
