When it comes to autos, what was the best advice you ever got? Genetics means everything with autos was my best advice followed by most need very little nitrogen.. My best genetics came from crop king seeds and brother mendels selection on facebook, really would like to give miphisto genetics a try but hard to get my hands on at this time. I'm purely organic grower and use nothing but natures living soil and ph'd water and really have some good luck in 3 gallon fabric pots. Would love to hear everyone elses grow success tips.

The best advise I got was making notes & take pictures. It's interesting for the public, but also for yourself.

Autopots with fabric pots was my best advice, not sure where it came from. Not sure how the 5 gallon pots would do with organics and water only, but the system can be set up with larger containers. I have a couple 102 liter containers being fed by one autovalve on my deck at the moment, and it seems to work a treat. Not Cannabis on the deck, just other edibles, but maybe this winter...

That is sound advice... something I should take more seriously. Ive grown brother mendels fruity pebbles og auto strain once before without notes and two years later grew another round and forgot they are very finicky on nitrogen. So yes very solid advice.

If the two pot setup you are describing means the double tray where the two pots are connected, you will need to plan to position the plants well apart and train them lots because the pots are a bit closer together than ideal. If you mean two of the single pot XL trays with the 5 gallon fabric smartpots, you are golden for a couple monsters with nutes like MegaCrop. OTOH, if you are going fully organic, the fabric pots may be too small to feed a full grow.

However, the autovalves you get with the kit can be set up to irrigate any sub-irrigated planter you want, so if you want to do organic, just go with a larger container, and make your own tray for it. The tray doesn't have to be fancy, I just used a couple layers of 6mil poly held up at the edges by a wooden frame. I am considering a 20 gallon fabric pot/autovalve setup this winter for one of my plants. No end of options.

Good luck with the autopots, I expect you are going to love them. :pighug:

my setup is the two single xl with 5 gallon. I thought when ordering that the connected trays would be to close. Keep me posted on your grow. Pictures would be great. Thanks

will do this winter. You might have a look at my grow in my sig as it was the same setup as yours. Ditto the autopot review, both are directly applicable if you stick with the fabric pots.

If you go with MegaCrop with those xl fabric pots, you will grow them big. You will want to assume at least 4 square feet/plant unless the strains are known for small size. With MC or similar and coco, you do not need the full "5 gallon" pot size, which can be reduced easily by folding the rims down, which also makes lifting and training easier due to the thicker folded rims.

Good luck with it. :pighug:
