New Grower Best LED For 4x4?

ive decided to go for a 4x4 tent which i plan on growing 5 Think Different plants

Which Mars LED setup is best?

4 x 300w HYDRO
2 x 700w HYDRO II
2 x 900w HYDRO II
1 x 1200w HYDRO II
1 x 1600w HYDRO II

Currently I am leaning toward 4 x 300w as I can pick them up for £50 a piece. The total actual draw would be around 560w, i was thinking I would get better yield and coverage at
nearer to 800w actual draw..


What do you think?

I would stay away from Mars. I've bought them like many people on this forum a few years back and they always seem to have problems and you have to be the repair person. they also won't penetrate any more than about 18in down into your canopy and that's only when you hold very close to the plant late in flower. That drops your effective footprint down substantially.

There's a section in this forum somewhere for cob LED Growers. There have been so many guys building their own lights spending only what you're talking about spending that are getting much better quality setups than any Mars would ever be. Then there's also some sponsors on the Forum that sell complete lights. They often have a good afn price.

I love my LEDs, but one LED will only light a 3 by 3 foot area. So the footprint would be like two lights in a 3 by 6 area. For that reason I grow on a 8 foot long drain table that's 3 ft wide and I have three lights above it. You won't be able to get my lights anywhere you're spending quid though. I use the lumigrow pro 325. Real cheap here in the United States right now

Then there's also some sponsors on the Forum that sell complete lights. They often have a good afn price.

You should consider checking out the Autocobs. I bought the ready to hang 3500K and like them much better than the many mass built led lights I've owned. At www.cobshop.net I see that the almost built goes for $49.99. Nearly $20 lower. The Autocob light is efficient, noiseless, low electrical draw, nice light spread, low heat throw and easy to move around.

My roleadro 400 cob does well, buy the most light you can afford and upgrade when you can. When you are starting out the cost can add up quickly. I built the setup I wanted then I pick a project to upgrade each month.

I was gonna say the same thing I have the Goliath in a 5 by 5 killing it 4 .5 ft autos, one that is squat shaped but she has been like that her life she is called massive midget

So I moved Ripley og to perfect sun Goliath room, she is loving the spectrum tonight I'll post a pic of Ripley og in that room she is sleeping right now
