Hey hey,

Here is the first journal of my 3rd grow (1st on AFN). Germination was in demineralized water for about a day, and although the seed opened by the morning, I probably should have left it sitting a bit longet before planting. By the morning of the fourth day it broke soil, we are on day three now (counting from breaking soil).

Space: 60x75x180cm
Light: 140W Plant Photonics, currently in "Eco" veg mode (-30% leds lit)
Medium: Soil, Plagron Light mix in 22.5L Air-pot
Nutritiens: Advanced Nutritients - Bloom A&B, Overdrive, Carboload, Cal-Mag Extra (if needed)
Feeding schedule and AN nute selection provided by "(c) TanG's Easy feeding schedule"
Using pH meter, pH- Grow for veg, pH- Bloom for flowering, local tap water with pH 8.6
Planning on using TnB Natural's "the Enhancer" later on in veg, with ~29-30C in the tent.

Two small fans, one to mix air inside the tent ~middle height, second above the light to remove hot air. Also in the tent is a small heater to help out with the cold if needed - I'm trying to keep the temperature around 27C. In front of the heater is a 2L plastic cup with water to help with humidity, although I'm not convinced it is actually making a difference.

I'm greatful for TanG to provide an easy schedule, as during my first two grows I managed to way overcomplicate things, so I'm hoping his schedule will be a good starting point.

Only growing one plant this time - two plants just looked to be way to crowded in the space available.

So far so good I think, but if any advice pops in, it's much appreciated :greencheck:

I took photos, but it's a struggle with a phone. I see myself investing into a camera, because the quality of these images is just poor in macro shots.

It's hard to see her, she is somewhere in the middle :eek1:

Thanks elsamurai! Do you mean danger as a fire hazard, or in a sense that it can decide to give out too much heat and dry out the environment too much / kill the plant? I could maybe get a heater with a digital thermometer...or some other kind that does not work with hot air but heat dissipation. At the moment it's holding things around 26C-29C, slighly larger variation I'd prefer, I suspect a digital would keep things more stable.

a little bit of both. but mostly fire. cant be too safe.a tube/radiater type heaters would be the way to go. myself, where my tent,is cold and I just leave my lights on 24/0 to keep them in the temp range

Ok, I removed it for now. I'll see what I can find locally as a replacement. I guess the blessing of the LEDs (no significant heat output) is also their curse.

Day 6 update. Growth could be a bit faster, but moving along. I'm just probably impatient.

My lights were pretty high up at ~130cm, so on Day 5 I lowered it to ~100cm, and today down to ~70cm. May seem like a large initial distance to begin with, but on my second grow the lights were too close (~40cm) and the plants literraly started to grow sideways, flat on the ground towards the side of the pot, almost like trying to escape the lights. This time I wanted to start from high up and lower gradually to see what the sweet spot is. I'm hoping this 70cm range is going to work. Still in Eco (-30%) veg mode on the lights for now. Not sure when to go full power, but I suspect -not yet-

Gave a little pH 6.6 water yesterday, ~100ml, I'm hoping that's enough at this stage. No nutes of any kind at this point.

Just check out my grow mate to get some tips and previews. And do not overwater wishin you the best results, I was at apx 210g from 3 flowers

I see you were growing the same strain, nice! I will check your thread out for sure. Thanks!

We are on day 10.

Gave 100ml water (ph6.8) yesterday with 1ml/L of Sensi Bloom A&B and AN Calmag. No water today, maybe tomorrow. Light is still in Eco mode ~45cm distance. Temp is around 27-28C with 40% RH.

She seems to be happy as far as I can tell.

Day 13.

She is visibly developing, but like with my previous grow I'm noticing a 45° sideway growth. I'm guessing the light is just too close at the current height? I left it in Eco mode, but went back from ~45cm to 60cm. I'm hoping she will straighten out. I have to find the sweet spot with this light... :confused1:

Watering 100ml daily now.
