After moving and getting my new place how I want it I’ve decided to start a small little stealth grow in the basement. I converted all my Mars 300s to cobs so the first grow is going to be a lot of testing to get everything dialed in with lights and playing around with some coco/pro mix ratios. Setup as of right now is the following.

Pro-Mix potting mix with extra perlite - Bucket [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG]
40% coco 40% perlite 20% Pro-Mix - Bucket#2
5 Gallon buckets
A/N line of nutrients
2 converted Mars cases - 2-5000k and 4-3000k CXA2530 cobs in each
Keter 18x35x74 utility cabinet
Small oscalating fan
Cool mist hunidfier for veg
6” inline fan outside the cabinet to pull air out

Rough feeding schedule

Day 1 to day 10 = filtered water

Day 10 to day 15 = .5ml/L - Grow / Micro / Bloom 2ml/L - Vodoo Juice / Piranha

Day 15 to day 20 = 1ml/L - Grow / Micro / Bloom 2ml/L - Vodoo Juice / Piranha / B52 .5ml/L - Cal/Mag

Day 20 to day 25 = 1.5ml/L - Grow / Micro / Bloom 1ml/L - B52 .5ml/L - Cal - Mag

Day 25 to day 30 = 1.5ml/L - Grow / Micro / Bloom 1ml/L - B52/ Cal - Mag

Day 30 to day 35 = 1.5ml/L - Grow / Micro / Bloom 1ml/L - B52 / Cal -Mag

Day 35 to day 40 = 2ml/L - Grow / Micro / Bloom / Voodoo Juice / Piranha /Big Bud 1ml Cal - Mag

Day 40 to day 45 = 2ml/L - Grow / Micro / Bloom 1ml/L - B52 / Big Bud / Cal - Mag

Day 45 to day 60 = 2ml/L - Grow / Micro / Bloom / Overdrive / Cal - Mag 1ml/L - B52

Day 60 = full pot flush with hose 5 min...

Day 63 to finish = plain water

Here is some pics of the setup as she sits right now but things will be moved around and taken out very soon. I have 2 autos Trans Siberian and Red Poison in 5 gallon buckets that are the permanent residents. 6 photo girls The Church, Papaya and some Deathstar clones that will all be going to the farm to grow outdoors. I had some issues with over watering and lights being to close so Im sure the 2 autos this go around wont be spectacular on yields. Im also trying out a new mix with coco, perlite and a little pro-mix. So far I like how its draining but still holding onto a little bit of moisture.

Well decided to yank the Trans Siberian and the Red Poison. The Trans was stunted and way behind and the lower stem was really flimsy. The Red Poison I screwed up by planting to shallow and the taproot stalled for a week and barely was growing after that. I took a step back and made sure the next beans were planted properly with lighting at proper distance. I went with Auto Northern Lights and my last Himalaya Orange Diesel bean. The photo girls are kicking ass right now and loving their environment. The Church and a Deathstar clone got transplanted from solo to 1 liter black pots last night and already seem to be settled in and praying to the COB gods lol. Also had my first COB failure which isnt a huge deal since I have some extras left over. I am going to replace the bad COB and I think I am going to add in a rocker switch to each case so I can turn off 2 of the 3000k cobs for seedlings and early veg.

Gave the Autos there first dose of g/m/b with b52 and voodoo today. They have the 2nd set of leaves started so they should start to really take in a couple more days. The photo girls are thriving and think its going to be tough to have them in the cabinet until the autos are done lol.

I think I finally have everything were it needs to be with lighting distance and the coco / pro-mix / perlite blend is working just the way I want it to. Went back to using used coffee grounds mixed into the pots as well. The girls have been getting a good daily misting of purified water with 1ml of dyna-gro grow for a lite foliar feed. I was thinking of upgrading the 12 cxa2530s to 8 clu048s but I am going to finish out the 2 autos first to see if it is worth the time and funds to swap everything for such a small grow space. I am however working on a pretty bad ass light for my buddy. I have a rough design I put together with some CAD software. As I have it now it will be 10 clu048s ran at 1050ma and a custom water cooling setup.

Did some more training on the girls this morning and took a couple measurements just to see how big they are getting. I opened up the middle and got a good spread to promote more growth so they fill out even more. I also removed the glass in my Mars cases and flipped the fan to vent the hot air through the top of the case. I noticed the lights are a little brighter with the glass removed. I also made a little bracket to make the spread more even across the canopy. I have the lights at about 20" which seems to be just right for veg. The little fan has been moved to the wall with velcro so I can move it up and down as needed.

The 2 autos are 48 and 50 days old and are transitioning into full flower. I ditched the mars 300 cases and built an aluminium frame along with 2 adjustable internal frames that the COBs are attached to. The spread is so much better now across the whole canopy and the plants are loving the more distributed light.
