Would I get any autoflowers if I cross: Photo x Auto and then back breed that non auto F1 with a Photo again?
I am not trying to make autoflower seeds but just a hybrid strain with my autoflowers desirable mold resistance.
Thank's guys

No...you could self the F1 auto x photo and maybe get some autos though..

Okay Thank You. I am happy that it will not produce any autos when back crossed with a photo strain.

No but you would still have some plants with the recessive autoflower gene that is't visible. So if you kept crossing the offspring, you would have a chance of eventually getting some autos.

Photo (AA) x Auto (aa) [with a being the autoflowering recessive gene]

Then Crossing one of those F1 babies (Aa) with the photo (AA):

Still, none of those would autoflower, but crossing two of the plants that are labeled in green (Aa), would result in the following, in which the plants labeled in BLUE (aa) would autoflower:

Thanks Hazy, Thats why I plan to only back cross with the photo mother. I like the autoflower genetics but I now need something that I can clone so I figured this is the best way to go. I will just use the F1 cross so vigor is still very present.

Update: Wow that diagram explains it all. Good work and thank you
