Hey AFN!

I've been here before - but hadn't managed to post for a month or so, due to various reasons.
Anyhows, it seems my account (chunkymonkey) has been deleted, not sure if it's just due to innactivity?

So, a fresh start, some experience under my belt and plenty of room for new knowledge!

I've uploaded some pics of the results of my first grow - Not bad, but room to improve for sure!

On a side note: My 240W UV Blackstar lasted one grow before the UV LED melted - my other light of the same model also has this fault - so until I resolve those issues i'm grounded!!

Cheers Stylez, I hope chunkymonkey does get re-activated....I'm totally butt-hurt from starting at "new to AFN" again! I need to finish the grow thread as best I can....Reap some Rep? haha

I grew KVS and Cobra (Flash) and DP Auto Blueberry. The pics of the trimmed bud are all Blueberry - the pics of the plants themselves are all 3 (I'll add more when the account issue is resolved).

As for my LED woes. Up until failure of the UVs, I was really happy with the Blackstar unit. The problem I now have, is that 2 out of 2 have failed within 4 months - so I'm not feeling a replacement will be any better for me.....unless those lovelies at Lighthouse fancy hooking me up with some Chrome action.....which I doubt :smoke: But even then, I haven't checked out the lenses used in them - and if I have the height!
Another thing, is that when I contacted the supplier, they instantly said it would be the LED driver - and sent one out! This makes me suspect that maybe the drivers aren't up to much either? Anyways, enough Blackstar bashing...guess i've just been unlucky! Did I mention GrowNorthern have a sale on?

Haha,never heard anyone bash blackstar. I know there are cheap models out there, from what I hear. I am working on getting a blackstar240, funds just aint letting it happen at the moment. Hopefully after the holidays.

Be patient with your account, the mods and admin are working very hard to get things situated. It is very important to them also.
Stay positive and things will work out. Keep lifted bud

Thanks Astronomy! I bought mine on the back of other peoples reviews, and like I said - before the faults - they were awesome! However, following the faults I looked around and the UV failure is a known issue. I think it is just bad luck on my part seeing as I got them from a reputable online shop, I'm sure they're genuine units! To be entirely fair, the online shop has said they'll repair/replace my faulty goods.....i'm just feeling it due to being £500 out of pocket and having broken toys! Surely the next 2 will see me enjoy the reliability side too!

I just wanna grow some herb again!
