I was looking into some organic fertilizers and ran across this azomite stuff. Its all natural and according to the sales pitch its the shit. Has anyone had any experience with this? The name is an anogram " a to z, forgot what o was, m minerals I including t trace e elements. Any help would be appreciated.

i've heard nothing but great things about this stuff i havn't had a chance to pick any up yet its about a 100 mile drive but supposed to have like 72 different minerals in it and feeds the microherd.check out www.growingyourgreens.com all his raised beds are filled with compost, castings, and azomite (mieral rock dust)the results speak for thereslves.

I've never bought it as "AZOMITE". The feed shop sells it as HSCAS. I've fed it to chickens and it's like a super vitamin for them, like acai is supposed to be for humans. It beefs up their insides so they're healthier and more productive.

My soil mix now a days is just this(1cu ft) + bio-tone mycoherd (starter plus) (2bags) + 7cu ft of ProMix (generic one, no myco in it).

Works pretty well, I mostly just feed water and root drenches.

I would like to incorporate it into my soil mix, but can only find one place in canada thats sells it...
I would imagine it would take a long time to breakdown and become readily available..so I would think it would be of best use to those who recycle there soil mix...Which is what I do...A to Z sounds good to me.

I found two different variations I believe. One listed fulvic acid which I currently use and the other made no mention of it. Both were on eBay. I believe ill order some this weekend with any luck. Ill be the first to admit all of methods were not and still may not be foolproof. I've went through the ph battles, probably every known deficiency and some I think I created myself as I went. This sounds a lot better than my letting nails sit for a week to rust and using some of the stuff I do. I CAN say that worm tea works pretty good but I've tried shortstepping that one by adding the worms straight to the pot. Seems to be working. Adding the azomite might just be the ticket.
