Hi all!
I've been travelling for a while and I'm now back and can't wait to continue planning my first grow.
I am planning on buying a set of 3 clay auto-watering probes. Here's a link:
http://www.blumat.at/automatic-watering-system.php#blindoor
Heres the deal...
My original plan was to use Red party cups and perlite in a mini hempy bucket type thing. I am now considering auto watering as I may be doing a little more travelling than I thought! I know that mary jane likes her air between watering but I'm thinking that with a 100% perlite medium would promote enough drainage to prevent root rot?
On the other hand do you think the perlite will even be compact and air tight enough to even promote water flowing from the res to the medium?
I guess theres only one way to find out... but im throwing a wild card out there in wondering if anyone else has experimented with soil-less grows and osmosis based watering systems...? I did try searching with no luck
What dya think guys?
Peace and thanks in advance!
