Howdy, Hazy....
Welcome
While it's perfectly common to run 24/7 (I do over the winter to maintain environmental conditions...heat, RH%, etc.)
it isn't going to accelerate the grow to any noticeable degree. Auto strains have a set amount of time that they want
to veg and that they want to flower, and it's relatively strain/pheno specific.
There are discussions back and forth as to whether or not a plant needs "rest" but I can tell you I've had wonderful
results with 24 on 0 off.
Your efforts would be better served looking for strains that are known to be fast. Mephisto Sour Crack variants are
very fast...mid-60's and actually mature at that point. A ton of the breeders/seed companies out there will claim
fast maturation, in fact most will understate the time by a week or two at least. So you'll need to garner that info
from actual grower's experience.
The other thing to consider is that these plants don't care how much of a rush you're in...they're just going to take
the amount of time they need. Trying to rush them is just going to diminish their success.
My first grow, last April, I had "x" amount of days before leaving on a family vacation and I was trying to squeeze
the grow in (as it was my first and I had all the equipment lined-up) It was Sweet Seeds Dark Devil, supposedly a
nine to nine and a half week strain...and I tried everything to speed it up, tried to push it into flower early by giving
it bloom nutes before vertical growth had ceased, gave it 21/3 lighting...in the end, I had to have a friend administer
the cleanse while I was on vacation and I harvested upon my return...it was a sati-dom pheno that went 80 days.
And that's fine, my point being they're on train tracks, their path is determined upon inception and there is little we
can do other than keep the fire stoked and watch for the signs.
My 2 cents.
