1st Time grow - South East UK (lat 51.4) - Using 2 autofrisian dew - they have germed well using damp napkin process and are current day 5.

Using a 150watt CFL lamp in an indoor wardrobe to get them started. 1st seed germed before 2nd so having so keep at different height as they grow so they are around 7inch away from light.

Pretty much wanting to keep a guide of the grow and get any feedback - hints or tips to get our ladies coming out nice and strong :)

Am going to keep indoors for around 2-3 weeks and then when the weather is starting to get better for the UK summer, get them outdoors in a secluded back garden, nice space to grow with sufficient light.

Have been reading posts from growers using AFD's last summer in UK and they seemed to come out well so though they would be a good place to start.

At the moment they are just in 5inch pots with some standard multi-purpose compost, which I have read will be fine for now, but im sure moving forward there will be a lot more maintenance ect in which needs to be taken to ensure the best possible grow. Any advice would be appreciated :) Pics to come soon :Sharing One:

Good luck rydin hope its a good un for ya
Good to see more uk outdoor growers using autos, its easy weed imo more tokers should be doing it !
Get the plants into their final pots as soon as, if youve got the space. Get yourself a 3 pack of normal fresian dew too, it would be nice to hear how they compare, theres still time to grow those too. Hope you have some fun with this grow and the sun shines brightly

Thanks maffro, Will be putting in their final pots this weekend! Any advice on re-potting? Yes, I agree, it would be nice to see the comparison between both, will do my best to get some on the go soon.

Day 7 since seed

Day 7

Since start of germ'd seeds being planted in soil. Plants have been kept a little higher than 7inch under light. Seems to be the right temperature and enough ventilation. Keeping soil watered with little sprinkle twice a day. They have both grown well from what I can see.

As suggested, and prompted by most sources, re-potting will be taking place soon into something a lot bigger. If anyone has any suggestions? Feel free to let me know :)

You can find some more pictures attached!

good luck dangdo. Auto's are pretty robust so pot on into what you have available. Be careful with the roots, shocking them costs a couple of days of growth. Good luck when these are finally planted out, hope you get a sunny spot to grow them in

Thanks DPTony :D I have repotted one yesterday and the other is set to be potted in the next two days! Just waiting on that lovely british summer to start picking up a bit. Set to have them both outside by end of next week. More pictures to come soon!

Day 12

Day 12 since they have been planted and under light indoors.

Both have been re-potted into their final pots for 2 days now.

Still just in multi-purpose compost, and think the time will be approaching soon to look at getting them outside and starting to add nutes ect.

There are lots of different suggestions of what and when to start using, and to be honest as a 1st time grower, I think I could do with all the advice available!

You will be able to see in the pictures attached, one of the plants (Mary ;) - typical I know lol) seems to be withering(?)
I would say temps are average (24c-27c), they have been kept at a minimum of 7inch below 150watt CFL lamp, and have been kept watered well.
