Now, we all know general rule of thumb is that you can control plant size by the container and root size. I am looking at purchasing AutoPots and I am torn between two different styles. They offer a 3.9 gallon 4 pot system, and their XL 6.6 gallon system. Ideally, I would like to run the smaller system so I can save on soil/coco/whatever I choose to use. Do you think that I can still get large yields using the smaller system with AirDomes since the roots will constantly be air pruned? OR, do you think it's a safer bet to still run the larger system? Let's have some input, shall we?

Id stick with less is more my friend, I've been looking at these too but 6.6gal takes up a big space, what kind of area are you putting it in?

Hans grows monsters with the 15L that's the one I purchased

Then I guess my decision is made. Do you have a link to his journal?

Also, assuming you're running airdomes with a pump?

I just purchased a 3.9 gallon 4-pot kit, not set up yet. If people get good yields with comparable or smaller Air-Pots or even just buckets with holes drilled, comparable-sized Autopots with Airdomes should do even better.

This was a really good question posed by MeefCheif. I've even seen a comparison thread for coco where the grower had bigger results in a smaller pot of coco vs. larger. I don't know if this result is typical depending on environment and grower skill etc.. I have no experience with coco in particular.

I've been thinking about trying airpots quite a bit lately as well, was thinking about growing smaller autos in a little cab with their 2.2 gallon sizers.

Four of the 3.9ers in a 4x4 sounds plenty big though, hope you'll do well with them and maybe post a journal, g'luck bro :peace:
