I was reading some stuff and it says that autoflower car flourish under 24/0 and give you a better yield then 18/16 or 20/4 has anyone did a 24/0 grow

Im doing one right now check it out in the t5 section. Or in my sig.

That would work, but apparently it's good for them to get some sleep so 20/4 would be "best"

hey bro and yes iv been using 24/7 for a while now its been fine but id say 20/4 would be best

check out my threads mate

After asking lots of questions and reading a great deal, I decidied to go with 24/7 with my lighting. I am using a 240w Blackstar and so for the growth is very good. Now this is my very first grow and the next grow I may try the 20/4.

24 hours is just fine but for the extra cost of keeping the lights on 24hrs/day the slight increase in yield isn't worth it (to me).

That's supposing they actually do get a yield increase.
I've been running my plants at 20/4 rather than 24/0 and they all seem to be doing way better.
Things have sped up if anything.

yeah... we.... well I'll say "I" so as not to hook anyone else on the same treble hook.. lol

I have a theory about it... they need a certain amount of rest...

20/4 is fine.... power is expensive these days....

also... i forget where ive seen it but if you look at a light chart of photoperiod vs growth... the tail-off of great gains starts at 18 hours... and runs to 20.... beyond that there is no significant gain... for an additional 4 hours of light...

hope this helps.

Quick comment before I get going. I have the same set-up as Mellow and run 22 hours at minimum. Turn LED off just to give it a cooling. I adjust the height from time to time to give plants a change of pace--just something I do--must be out of compassion. All in all they respond well. Humidity must be over 40% or they will get upset. LOL.
However, I have not been without some minor growing issues, e.g. PH.
