Autoflowers are not cute, straightforward little sisters of term/photo plants. Their biggest advantage is their short lifestyle. Its also lends to their biggest disadvantage.
And its a give and take.
Fimming and topping work but you shouldnt do it because the recovery time from the stress is never worth it.
LST works cause there is so little stress and recovery time can be hours not days.
What about Supercropping? I had to bend over 2 stems this morning because they were burning themselves to death trying to stretch up to the warm hps light (last time it created 7 new vertical stems. I woulda had 2 burnt stems instead of 7 healthy ones. I dont know the stress level or the recovery)
What about popcorn? I cleaned out the undergrowth of the last crop that included small but viable growing tips/buds. I know it stressed her out but did I free up growth for the koalas up top or was the pain too much for her (and I know it musta hurt). But is her life too short to clean and cut the undergrowth?
Any answers?
