Hi everyone, can you tell what you are using to tie down branches for your lst, went into b&q and only see like a metal wire sort of stuff, really I want something softer, can anyone let me know what’s best to use for lst.
thanks

I have only done it once and used like a sort of soft string and just wrapped it around and then secured both end to my pot. Anything really. There is wire with a green rubber coating in B&Q, it comes in a roll of like 20 or 30m for about 16 quid. I was too tight and decided the soft string would do and it did, with no damage to branches.

If you're in the US you can get green gardening ribbon at Lowes. I've also seen it called plant tape. Works great. It's wide enough to not cut into stems and it's a bit stretchy. Easy to tie off as well.

EDIT: eBay and Amazon have it but Lowes if you want it today. dunno about other countries.

I’ve used garden Velcro tie strips which really work well when used with fabric pots as they stick to the side and are easy to adjust. I also have used garden wire that is covered with a soft rubber coating. The wire requires holes around the edge of your pots to tie down to.

Crafty pipe cleaners AKA chenille stems and 12" inch Stainless BBQ skewers. Just fold the pipe cleaner over the stem it will hold and is easy to adjust,

Thanks everyone for you’re reply’s, it helps a lot
I just use the green wire stuff with the green coating as @EP3 says just don't wrap it to tight around branches that are going to get thicker
