Hi Guys,

Strain : Easy Ryder (Lowryder [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] x AK47 Joint Doctor)
Medium : Coco / Perlite 5050
Watering: 2 - 3x daily feeds as needed when coco dried out

I had this girl at like 4 weeks in and she was dying:

I Fixed all the problems and it made a great recovery!
Everyone told me to throw her out and that i was going to get like 10 grams.

Here is the same girl at harvest (260-280 grams wet) :

Why did this happen?
I thought this was going to be a waste of time but it bounced back like this?
im expecting 2 1/2 oz dry

I'm of the opinion that autos may have some kind of panic mode survival trait. One three occassions now, I've had badly damaged autos, not only recover, but also turn into the largest plant of the grow! My very first grow on afn, a Sliff Seeds White Widow, got broken on the main stem at arounbd the second or third node. And I mean 90% broken off! I stood it up and tied it in place with yarn. Withing three days it was healed together. Then she sat and did nothing for about 2 weeks. Then.......... she became a monster! I grew 2 of these WW. The undamaged on gave me 30 grams dry. The broken one? 168 grams dry!

This happened again. My dog pulled a Blueberry Dommina out of a pot of coco. It was just transplanted the day before. He ripped it completely out of the coco and it must have laid on top of the coco for an hour, it was wilting. I almost tossed it, then said, what the hell, if it dies, then I'll toss it. Once again, the biggest plant of the grow out of 4 plants! Always take the time to give a plant a chance, you'll often be glad you did!

Correlation is not causation.
Autos get really big.
I've got a mephisto sour bubbly auto that's over 5 ft tall, and growing into the lights.
Autos in hydro can average about 4 ft tall.
Your example plants might've gotten even bigger without the injuries.

and though your right, it doesn't explain why after such extreme damage they were the largest and most bountiful of a group. I'm not saying anything definitive, but I've seen several other examples of this. I've not explored what, if any, knowledge there is pertaining to this phenomenon. Correlation is grounds for theory, and theory give framework to research, which leads to answers be they supporting or condemning.

i stunt em early by fimming or topping...though i fokn love fimming....lst the whole way---cropped if needed to achieve most even canopy....extends my grows (outside-non optimal) by a week to a month..but i get more uniform buds and more yield.

Isn't yield per month a more important yield calculation?

I have no turnaround time I have no overhead costs zero to Nil....I grow in rotation a lot so I don't just have one plant going at any one time....I grow for the enjoyment autos are my little bonsai's for relaxation...via smoking em or training em. This is not a financial gain where I need grams per watt yield per month because all those calculations go to to the wind because I'm growing in non optimal conditions outside.

Just wanted to say how much I love this site.
How scientific and critical thinking skills are praised. Every other cannabis site I’ve been to is just stoner talk. This site is awesome!
