My past two grows (Dutch Passion Blue AutoMazar and Dutch Passion AutoUltimate) I've had one seed turn up on my trim tray from each plant. Didn't see what bud it came out of just noticed it was there all of a sudden. What's the deal with these? Are they feminized? Is there any drawback to planting one? By the time I pay for shipping and all of that seeds aren't exactly expensive...but they aren't cheap either and getting an extra one here and there would be a nice bonus. I just don't want to waste my time if there's any chance of them being defective.

Thanks for any info guys/ladies!

hermies breed hermies, using them more often then not causes more hermie flowers each generation used

seeded bud is a lot more effected then people realise, i was shown proof of that from one of my photo sensitive plants just a couple nights ago, for the past week or so id be sitting in my chair, yes my rooms are large and have seating areas, but yeah, had been wondering for a while why this one single bud on the top of a branch and being one of the highest of the multi cola tops was lagging so far behind, even compared to the lower buds on the same branch, it just wasnt maturing, while the entire plant is looking almost ready to harvest, this single cola or bud is only looking half done

well just the other night i picked a seed from the tip of said bud

that one single seed caused a lot of difference in that bud, both in maturity rate and growth rate

so now, tell me its okay to grow hermie plants "Eye roll"

also, hermies do not always make feminised seeds, quite often in fact they make typical 50/50 male/female seed, why do you think wild landrace strains that are known to be badly hermie prone still give a 50/50 male/female seed rate

hermies "always" making feminised seed is just internet misinformation being spread around most likely due to crappy breeders who chose to use hermies to produce feminised seeds, and that is also the reason that for years and still somewhat to this day that feminised seeds are fighting against a bad reputation, early feminised seeds were known to commonly produce hermies and even a lot of reports of male plants

that bad reputation is not being focussed on the right thing, it should be focussed on the crappy pollen chuckers who claimed to be breeders and not on proper feminised seeds

Yeah aside from being where the plant comes from (haha duh) I've never been a big fan of seeds. Like I said both plants were Dutch Passion and I only found one seed on each one. I didn't catch what bud either seed came from, but both turned up at the very end of each harvest. I cut over four or five days, and I cut the lowest, most immature buds last. So, that would make me think that the seeds didn't come from any of the nicer upper buds, although I can't be sure. Both the Blue AutoMazar and the AutoUltimate tuned out fantastic, so who knows. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't throwing away something worth keeping.
