autobuds GSC First Grow

hey everyone! New to forums and also new to growing. I currently have 2 autobuds autoflower GSC growing in 5gal smart pots in a 70/30 coco/perlite mix. Feeding with the general hydroponics trio running at 18/6 light cycle since day 1. They’re currently 41 days old and the last 2 days of growth have been enormous. My question is it seems most auto flowers I’ve seen are showing preflowers at this point and I don’t see anything on mine yet. Should I just be a little more patient or could these be photoperiod plants instead? Also, how are they looking just in general? Thanks for any help!

hi and @Booogie hmm its a lil late to show sex and confirm its an auto hmm that means its going to be a long running auto close to 100 days.if it dont show soon,only choice is flip to 12/12 or throw it out and start again.

Hey, thanks so much for the input! I’d rather ride it out with these plants to atleast keep learning from them, it’s been such a great experience growing! Here is updated pictures from day 48, and I raised my light from where it was in the first 2 pictures by 6”, which has given me a good 3-4” of growth. Also the plants have a strong smell as soon as I open the tent if that means anything? When do you think I should flip the cycle to 12/12 if I haven’t seen flowering yet? Thanks so much!!
