My set up starts with a 2'X3'X4’ grow tent. Lighting is by two 300W for 600 W LED of light at 36" from canopy. Exhaust by 6" fan.

Water is autodrip from 5L reservoir feeding float reservoir with feeds to four 10" deep saucers filled with perlite. Grow is sub irrigated.

Plants will be transplanted and grow in 3 gallon fabric pots with FF/OF soil blended with my own Super Soil. Currently four White Widow autoflowers seedlings are growing (W1, D7). My apologies for the pink hue of the LED grow lights.

Pascal’s principle is used with the float valve reservoir interconnected to the irrigation saucers to ensure even water level distribution which can be adjusted in each tray varying on the plants needs and evaporation, by the float level.

Interesting! :D

I've been looking for something like this! :d5:

Could we see some more photos of how the valve works please? ^_^ (for the dim like myself... how does it stop the water from continually gushing!?)

This is exactly how auto pots work, except auto pots uses a fancier valve. This system works just like a toilet tank, when the water rise to a certain level the float rises with it and shuts off the valve. When the water level drops, so does the float which then opens the valve.

that won't open until the feeding tray is dry

It doesn't. Since I set it up it didn't gush because the water in all the vessels maintained the same height because they were cross connected (Pascal). But what it doesn't do is go through a wet/dry cycle which cannabis needs to allow roots to grow. As a result the perlite was always wet. I've since changed to the Autopot sub irrigation watering system.
