Hi there, new grower here.
I started a stealth grow (very lo fi). With a freeby seed I got. As my first grow, I just wanted to test the germination method before growing my actual purchased seeds. Anyway, the freeby germinated and grew like hell so I thought why not just let it go, see what happens. The freeby is supposed to be an AK auto by seedmakers seeds. I'm currently on day 45, seed to harvest is supposed to be 65-70 days.
Started showing pre flowers about 2 weeks ago but in my opinion its just not moving on, seems to be stuck. The plant looks very healthy to me, it's not really producing much more veg though. Just wondering if I should wait it out, or if its actually a photo period and I should flip the lights. Or, just toss it and use my actual purchased seeds. As you can hopefully see from the photos there are little white hairs, pistol formation. There appears to be what looks like the start of bud formation but I just don't think it's doing what it should.

It Sounds/looks as if you have the one we call Fast Flower in the back shop.
Neither full auto or photo..

Late start to flower..then it appears to go back into veg.

IF it follows the pattern of the ones I've seen

It will eventually produce bud sites..even under 24 hour light pattern...but it will be a Big plant and will way exceed your predicted harvest date.

I Could be Wrong..but she is showing the Usual signs...:headbang:

Thanks, I'll wait a couple more weeks, keep doing what I'm doing, she's currently under 18/6 cycle.... I'm not very patient, so I just need to chill and see how she goes.

Your description of this is right on.
My record is 10 wk to start flower, and a total time of about 18 weeks.
Got a huge yield of weak, nearly unusable stuff.

Yeah...I had a little Look-see when they came out in my lines...but some went 140 days and I didn't Think the Gain was worth it.

The second veg is like watching paint dry...:bored:...

When this come out in one breeders lines..he advised knocking them down to a 15/9 light schedule...:headbang:..might Help.

BTW...gotta add...all the crosses I have seen on the Fast Flower have been the very definition of hybrid vigor.
Stunning plants...I haven't met an Ugly one yet..just Not what you Ordered...:watering:

:toke:- probably some shady genetics mate, she may be a slow auto, or an outright throwback photo' in which case you'll either have to run 12/12 or toss her and start over,.. you can ride this for a bit longer, but if she's not looking like she'll flower after 2 weeks, then it time to make your call,... Simplicio makes a good point too, that breeder is an unknown here, and so many hacks out there, there's no telling if this will be worth the wait, to add to this gamble,...

In the two days since I wrote this post the bud sites have definitely got more developments, more whispy bits, looks like they're starting to pack out, there's 7 sites that clearly look like the start of buds.... It's now 46 days in soil from when I first put the germinated seed in. The smell is getting stronger as well, they just nowhere near as well developed as I thought they would be... But man I'm a serious novice at this and my set up is seriously lo fi. It might be just a really slow grow.

Thing is I've got some mephisto genetics sour stomper to get going and only one grow box, so I'm itching to get a new grow on, but for the sake of learning I'm going to take this to its natural conclusion, can't bring myself to toss it just yet.
Thanxs for the advice, I've found myself becoming completely obsessed with growing, I can probably afford to upgrade to some slightly better equipment but I'm not interested in yield or anything like that, I like the whole DIY thing, it's purely for personal, I like to keep things very simple. My whole set up cost me 50 including the lights from ebay, cardboard box, survival blankets. The smart pot was the most expensive single item, ripped a fan out of an old PC and rigged a USB cable to it, little desk fan. I was completely shocked the seed even germinated, and then when it vegged out so quickly, its amazing, what a fantastic plant.
