Indoor Auto Seeds Candy Kush, first auto grow in a long time

Thanks for the encouraging words, folks!

She is indeed looking pretty perky. The short internodes blow my mind! As said before, this is my first auto grow in years but the last time, with some LR2, I don't remember them looking any less leggy than photos. I'm guessing that she's liking the LED spectrum. Though quite a few grows on here show real short internodes. Is that typical of autos?

Worrying about those little divots on the leaves, well, after last year's "black thumb" spell where everything from weed to peppers went to hell in a handbasket I've been paranoid of starting stuff inside. Even my clones just wizzled up and died, and I've never had a serious problem like that before.

Fairlynew, I'm liking this light! I bought it because it was cheap and I wasn't expecting a whole lot but I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality and performance. It's so much cooler than the old 250 HPS or even the 8x23W CFL rig! Now that the prices have come down, and probably will come down more, most likely I'll be getting 1000W or so for the little 2x4 tent.

Here she is at 17 days from emergence. She's happy, I'm happy! I'm seeing a bit of growth every day.

I just got the Roots organic samples, so last night I mixed up 2 teaspoons Buddha Grow, 1/2 teaspoon Elemental (cal/mag) and 1/4 teaspoon DynaGro ProTekt to a gal. of water and bubbled it overnight. Watered today with the new potion. I may have overwatered a bit, a trickle came out into the saucer so I've turned on a bit of bottom heat to dry her out quicker. She'll probably like a bit extra warmth anyway.

That Buddha Grow is some gnarly looking shit! Black, thick, sticky. I usually use a 10cc syringe for measurement but there was no way I could pull that tar into it.

The Roots schedule says to alternate fert watering with pure water. Any thoughts on, instead of plain water, using compost tea? Also I'm wondering about how long the fertilizer solution might last after mixing. Refrigerate? Freeze?

I try to mix up what I need and use it all, the fridge should buy a couple of days I would think, I would let it warm back up before you feed though. I use an old infants cough medicine syringe to suck up the nutes, they have a really large orifice and you can open it up with a drill bit. She looks to be doing great. Keep up the good work!

Good thought on the infant syringe, it's been so long since babies were around that I haven't even thought about those in years. :nono:

I guess for the time being I'll be mixing by the quart. She's not a heavy drinker right now.

No picture atm but I seem to be seeing a bit of nute burn/N poisoning. Not too bad but of course I'm a little concerned. New leaves have a tiny bit of browning and curl at the ends.

The Roots I put in a couple days ago was at about 1/2 strength and I didn't expect it to be too strong since it's all derived from good stuff, but the first ingredient is guano and I've seen a few problems if that's used to excess. There's also the lobster compost mixed in with the potting mix. Plus there are time release nutes in the mix. So... maybe it's a bit hot in there.

Anyway, it doesn't appear to be serious at this point. I'll just use bubbled water on her for a little while. I'd rather not flush if I don't have to.

The exciting news is that when I was inspecting the damage through the magnifier, I saw trichs! There are no obvious signs of buddage yet but there's no doubt there's a bit of sugar coming on the new little leaves.

Doesn't sound like a problem, just back off on the nutes a little till she's a bit bigger. Any pistils yet? She should be ready to pop them out. Keep it going.
Grow well, be happy!

Here's what the leaf curl looked like...

With plain water, then a dose of compost tea, she's doing fine. Here she is at day 26.

I like the way PhotoPaint corrected the color balance!

Anyway, pistils are starting to come on and she's getting really bushy. I keep tucking leaves to give the branches some light. Next time I water I'll put in a small dose of Buddha Bloom.

I don't know how the smoke's gonna be but I'm really liking the way this plant's growing.

Looking great bro, my leaves curled just like that, I wouldn't worry at all. Her color great, what an awesome little bush you have on your hands!
Keep up the good work! By the way how did you get your AFN assimilated badge?

"AFN Assimilated is 500 posts OR a completed AFN product Review."

I din't know where that came from either 'til I just looked it up. I did a review on haze.io seed bank and I guess that qualified. Or maybe I did something on the LEDs, don't remember it but then I'm not all there.

Not a good pic, I was in a hurry, but here's day 32. She's getting nice and hairy, stretching, generally showing signs of puberty.
