Got a dp auto ultimate that is day 49 and not flowering. Seeds came sealed in dp package. Curious does this mean it is a photo period or an auto not expressing itself properly?
If it becomes necessary to switch to 12/12 will I need to keep it there for the rest of the grow?

it can happen that a auto will not auto flower the photo period trait is more pronounced in this particular seed it seems
day 49 is getting on iv seen some auto flower past this point but most tend to go 12/12 i wouldn't go past 60 days
i do think you will need to keep it in a 12/12 light cycle for the duration of flower if you switch

Dp Auto Ultimate is one of DP's larger strains.. What size pot are you in? Has the plant shown sex?

I'd be blown away to find out DP was releasing autos that didn't auto...they're one of the best. I'm with @Proph, this one might be just an epic vegger...

If she showed sex at day 30, that's the auto trait.. Photo periods take about 6 weeks to show sex.. You may have a big ole 100+ day plant... Id just give her more time.

FWIW, my experience with ALF#5 by Mandalorian Genetics is similar. 30-45 days veg, 40-50 days flower. The beauty of autos is that even of they're 120 day strains, that's still like half the time of a photo from seed.

I think you got an epic vegger too if it was showing sex when it did. You can always supercrop her? That will give you a bunch more room if you are going to run out of head room.
