I!

Ya need to cut most of those old timbers out.. They're not doing anything (much) and it'll create more space! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Plants look nice... They're going BIG...

Niceeee!

the picture doesn't do the loft justice.

It's far worse! It's 2 different style roofs braced together. There's not enough space to take a photo of how shit it is!

OK. Put the aqua farms together. Took pics.

This is one kit.

First you have the level tube.

Goes together like so. Maltese with dirty paws optional.

Then the pump tube support.

Stick it in the 'ole, it's a tight fit (fuck! Got the lion sleeps tonight in my head again!) The top needs to be just above where the medium is filled to,thus.

Now assemble the bit that does the do, pump line I'm going with.

How I think this works! The air pump pushes air in at the top of the dripper ring, it goes down the clear tube (which is inside the black tube), the air pushes up the black tube taking res water with it , into the dripper ring. The result is highly oxygenated bath time for the roots.

Goes together like this.

How does it perform?

Dunno, it'll be a month till the coffers are refilled, I'm already over budget!

Laters

Nice post dude, havnt seen those before, how much does the res hold? And is there a separate pump for nutes?

About 20l.

No pump for nutes, it's purely the air bubbling up the pump tube.

Some peeps stick another air pump in the res tank, put more holes in the pot bottom and it then becomes dwc as well as a dripper.

They do a smaller one, made by general hydroponics.

One stupid question, how do you do the actual operation of changing the water?

I mean, where do you put the plant and how without damaging the roots let alone the top. If there was 2 lower pots just move the top pot over to the 2nd lower pot with a new solution, but that's not the case. So does it then take 2 or more operatives, one or more to hold the plant(say it's 10 weeks old, 1,5 m tall and 1 m wide and.... ummmm...... pleasantly top-heavy ......) while another operative fiddle with the new solution on the double......in my mind there's scope for muchos mayhem and recriminations during and after the procedure....

I did ponder this myself.

I'll probably go with syphon in it out through the level tube, I hate moving plants.

With my wilma I syphon it to do a res change.
