This is my Auto Assassin sea of green at eight weeks today. There are 25 plants in a 3ft x 3ft tent under 400 watt HPS lighting. Almost all are between 12 and 14 inches with the smallest at 11, and the tallest at 17 inches.

Started out a bit annoyed because I originally purchased 5 feminised seeds but only three germinated. One male, one female and another died. I pollonated the two remaining so ended up with quite a few seeds. I've waited about a year to try them, and here are the fruits.

I germinated 63 out of 70 seeds which is a respectable 90% success rate. Of these 49 went into 1.5 litre poly pots and I binned the rest. Within 25 days I had sexed and re-potted 25 females into 5ltr poly bags. Many have turned into single cola plants while others are a little bushier. No idea what the dry weight will turn out to be. I'd like to average half ounce per plant dry but doubt they are that heavy.

I've been taking a 'keep it simple', experimental type approach to growing. By that I mean, water straight out of the tap, no PH testing, plain old 'homebase plus' compost from seed, and no feeding except for an inch of farmyard manure at five weeks. Lighting was left on 24/7 all the way through. Watering was as needed but toward the end turned out to be mostly every other day. Some were damaged because of underwatering but recovered. Way too much manure I think, some started to look like they had nutrient burn a few days after after adding that. They were very healthy looking plants up to that point. Most of the fan leaves have now been removed.

These AA's seem to be more potent and less smelly than the White Dwarf variety I grew last. I've been smoking the side branches since week 6.5. They are really starting to come on strong now. Another week should do it.

Nice way to introduce your self to the forum mate :smokebuds: that full tent is looking sweet man.

Nice dude. Welcome to AFN. I will be awaiting final weight.

Total dry weight was 7.85 ounces which is about 229 gramms. I started smoking it in desperation at week 6.5 so think if I had left it alone it would probably have been a ten ounce grow. Smoke is ok, not as strong as I had hoped but it's acceptable. It would probably have been stronger had I given it another week. After sexing I had one plant too many so decided to put two plants in one pot to see what happened but. That particular pot yielded less than the others so that tells me I would do better with less plants next time.

Smoke Report: It's quite nice to smoke through a pipe. I did a thorough job of removing all those rank tasting leaf stems. The hit is quite mild, not as strong as I had been lead to believe by the "Boom and you've been Busted" advertising hype surrounding the plant. I am able to function quite well and feel ok so would definitely rate it as a good daytime smoke. I sleep and eat well while smoking these AA's and have little anxiety. Makes me thirsty often. - If you want a couch locked daydream inducing fantasy smoke then look elsewhere.

Hi dave, i'm in the uk too :)

I've got an AA on the go at the moment, my growbox is 2x2 feet and 3 feet high so i have been researching SOG for my next grow.

I read that Indicas are usually better for SOG because they tend to stop short of the light bulb whereas Sativas may carry on a bit, but the heights on yours look fine, my AA has hit 16 inches at day 49, she is in a 5 litre pot :

I'm thinking of going for 9 plants in my smaller space.

Are you happier doing them all in one go like that, i read a lot of diaries where people use the system to stagger their harvests, so that, in your case, you would be pulling 5 plants every 5 weeks say, and sticking in another 5 clones.

Impressive yield, i think you're right about the possibility of getting a 10oz crop.

all the best,

nibs.

I tried the same method again but only got 2.5oz. I think either the soil was too rich, even though it was the same product, or I over watered because they all went yellow early on.

Sorry about the delay, didn't receive notification of your post. Trouble with growing this way is if it goes wrong you're stuffed and that's what happened on the following identical grow. Looking at it like that pulling a few each week would be better, at least while experimenting. With a foolproof method this is the way to go but would like to try less plants.
