Heres there home, taken a few months ago,
Plants grew big here last year and soil has been improved again so no worries there.
8 germinated and one was attacked and killed by a moose. The moose was hunted down and killed. The moose had been carrying out a revenge attack after I had killed it's partner. This I had to do after they broke the rules of the hoose and broke into living areas and gorged on a seeded bud. I don't expect this to be the end of it. These sort of feuds can run for centuries. In fact Scotlands history is littered with this sort revenge killings. it has even been immortalized in song, 'There's a moose loose aboot this hoose'
Anyway,
They were given 4 days of T5 lighting, outside and greenhouse for a few days and then in the soil.
They looked like this,
A few days later cold Northerlies blew in and I thought I had lost them after a blanket of wet sleet froze across the land. Melted quickly the next day but was followed by a few days of frost. They seem to have handled it nae bother! Weather since then has been cold, day temps never above 10C, though when the sun is out it's warm. Lots of heavy rain for last few days, sun came out and I took these pictures today.
These pictures are about 8 days on from last ones.
Amazing growth in these conditions, in fact they probably have the march on most of the plants I have out. More snow and cold this week coming but surely we will get some warm southerlies soon
Aye they're hardy!
Great plants LBH
