I bought a cheap 315watt cmh off amazon and a cheap protopia light. The light is a pompeo it was around $180 and the light was $49.99. This is my second grow and my plants are doing 100 times better than they were under my cheap LED s I started with. My blackberry is 38" after I supercropped. Lsd25 is 35" after supercrop. I broke my rhino Ryder completely in half at week 3 and duct taped it, its now 38" tall and my bushiest. All my plants seem to take higher nutrient doses and are bigger and healthier than my first grow by far. The only changes I made were the light and soil. Changed from 4 300watt mars hydro LED s and fox farm ocean forrestto roots organic and a 315. I doubt my skill level changed very much with ju
st one grow. So can a light make that much of a difference? I really think it's the light. What do you all think?

Light=Life. Your light source and spectrum is very important...so is your soil/medium. Upgrading those two things can noticeably improve a grow in short time. We currently have testers growing under 315 cmh lights. The test journal is under the Prism Lighting thread if you wanna check it out.

So far I really love this light. I am going to get the phillips agro 3100k for a bulb next though. I'm sold on the 315 though.

You should check out the test thread! All of the cmh testers are using the phillips bulbs. Some 3100k some 4200k.

What's the title of the thread or what section is it located.

I love my LEC too, I use the 4200k lamp... Vegs better then anything I used in the past...The 4200k seems to flower pretty decent also..

How does the 4200 compare to 3100 during flowering. Is the yield, density, and Trich coverage the same with the 4200 or better or worse than the 3100. I've heard the 4200 was great for veg but I haven't tried it yet. I'm curious about the ushio 3000 also. It's cheaper than the phillips also. I'm using a protopia 3000 right now. Its worked great so far with veg and flowering just started so I don't know about that yet. It was $49.99 so I thought I would give it a try since it was $50 cheaper than the phillips. So far I'm not disappointed.
