hello all..

i have been out shopping this week and got myself a few new bits for my new grow which will be starting very soon.. one of these items was a 250w powerplant envirogrow cfl, i have only just noticed this cfl is 14000k super cool and not a 6400k blue.. i didnt really want 14000k but im now wondering if it would be beneficial?? have any of you guys got or used one of these??

look forward to hearing some responses on this as i have not used the bulb yet and could have the option to take it back to the shop..:peace:

so there does not seem to be anybody on here with one.. this is exactly what bulb it is..http://www.midlandgardensupplies.co...arch&utm_campaign=google-product-search-us-en
It says that they are excellent for propagation and root development.. im still unsure as i have always thought that plants like the 6400k range for propagation/veg.. scanning through all the other useless forums on the net and they are all bickering like little girls(no surprise), some say they are brilliant some say a waste of money..

anybody able to chime in and tell me if the 14000k will work well or at all??:peace:

i haven't seen this spectrum cfl used yet, maybe you'll have to be the one to put it to use and journal it well so the whole cannabis community can be better informed. Good karma sent your way and i hope it does work well for you, either way be sure to keep us informed so the knowledge is spread

quote if im wrong buddy , but im pretty sure they are propagation light. Very good for helping new cutting and seeds in root development at the start of there life cycle. It will always be beneficial and plants will grow under it just not as vigorous as good as the 6400k. When combined with 2700k,6400k they can produce very good results so i hear.

thanks for the reply beal..

its good to know it works before i try and start using it, i will be using 1 250w 14000k and 2 125w 2700k bulbs throughout my whole grow. its good to know the 14000k is also benificial through the flowering stage.. you got a journal/pics??

i will be starting my new journal tomorrow. keep a look out..:peace:

Yes mate go on my profile and look St my thread it's under mi5 grow

i agree addski they do quote themselves to being a propagation light promoting good growth for seedlings and root development. i was very curious about using it until i see "beal"s grow. i will be using the 6400k & 2700K aswell as the 14000k so hopefully with all the spectrums i cant fail:rolleyes: i would like to get these cfls mastered, i know they can do well in the right hands, the start of my maxi grow was the best iv ever had and that was just under 6400&2700k..
i switched the 250w 14000k on last night and burned the insides of my eyes!! thing is it didnt seem overly bright, must be a light my/our eyes cant see???

didnt get much of the growroom setup, just mylared the room and put up the exhaust fan.. eres a couple of pics, not quite ready to start a diary yet.. i will be using 2 oxypots in there, scroged towards the back of the cupboard..

do you guys reckon 500w of mixed spectrum DSC00059.jpgDSC00060.jpgDSC00058.jpgcfl is enough for two dwc scrogged photo strain plants(dutch passions "the ultimate")??:peace:

These lamps are very popular, you need to use the full range of spectrum, the CFL lamps have advanced and solve many issues, reduced wattage means they do not consume power and unlike sodium lamps do not produce to much heat.

Full range listed at http://www.midlandgardensupplies.co.uk/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=Cfl&x=0&y=0
