I would say 5g is a bit ott and you run the risk of the compost going sour but is prob the right size for a super auto. Theres 2 ways of looking at it if you transplant you will have a established root zone and are pre sexed if using regs but if there in the final pot they will grow a touch quicker as they are not bound think I'm going to have to throw this one out there.
If it was me i would use the nice and easy method with the pre cut 2l bottle or go for a 3g instead
I have 2 in 5 gallon pots check my sig, careful they get big if its in the plants genes make sure you have enough space. What strains are you thinking of growing? and what are the dimensions of your room?
i grow in 5 gallon grow bags mate but this is my first auto grow so will see how they turn out in these bags.i'll get some 3 gallon bags next and see if there's any differance.
by what i've seen on here they do just aswell in smaller.
Im growing Delicious Seeds II Diavolo. I have 2 seeds, but I was wanting to grow 1 big one. I've read that the bigger the pot the bigger the autoflower, so I was going to try and grow one big one. My grow box is 4x4x3.
I have 15 Devilmatic from MOC at the moment, I have 8 of em in 5 gallon pots. The biggest one is turning into a monster and looks like she may break the 2.5 - 3 oz mark already.
Still though, I don't know any one else who has experience with this strain so I've no idea what's normal for it. These are only 3 weeks old.
