New Grower any tips before 1st harvest?

So in the next couple days im planning on taking down my 1st plant. Its a NL at about 70 days and i think its about ready. I started her on straight water monday and although shes still swelling, i need the space and have 3 others im pushing longer. Im planning on drying the main bud by hanging and dry trimming, the rest im going to chop up and brown bag. Im mostly just hoping for some quick smoke then i can be more patient with my last 3. If anyone has any advice, tips or help id appreciate it.

Dry and cure right or ull ruin your bud. Happend to me my first 2 grows. Keep a nice HR all dark room while drying and make sure to put the in jars while they are still above 60% moisture. Enjoy bro

Thanks magic, im worried about not having an ideal space to dry em. Im my tent is about 50-60rh with good airflow, but maybe too much since my big fan just circulates around the room and it wouldnt be very dark. I plan on doing the paper bags in there. In my basement the rh is only about 20% and cold and dark with mediocre airflow. Hoping leaving the leaves on the main cola will help dry this a bit slower than if wet trimming.

I'm gonna let somebody else fill me in here but I think you could let the pistils go amber and let her fatten up for a week or 2 more.
Or isn't that a recent photo?

I'm with illbethere on this. I think it could go a bit longer.i took 2 of the lower branch's off mine and dried in the brownbag and got 7+ gram's, enough to last me a few week's I need for the rest of the plant to fill out

I know it could go longer, but every week it sits, is another 150 in busch league bag trees im smoking and hobestly i just rewlly need the room for the other 3 to grow plus 2 more that are 30 days younger. Im over 75% orange pistils on the tops which i plan to smoke while the rest of the plant will go to edibles. Thanks for everyones input, but shes coming down soon, i have the 3 better looking plants to push longer. Only question now is where to dry and if i should hang or bag and to dry or wet trim. Like i said my plan is to wet trim all branches and brown bag em and dry in my room, and the main nug i plan to leave the leaves on and hang dry in my basement (still nervous its too dry but i figure size and leaves will help)

I forgot about the need for room.DOH! lol. I hung my paper bag's in my cab with RH at 40=50%. took about 6 day's and then into the jar and burping every couple of hour's. light hay smell at first as I had to wait 8 hr's the first 2 day's. was smokable after it came out of the bag tho. be prepared for the smell, it was stronger than when growing

Thanks el sam, i hope the smell develops as they dont smell a whole lot now unless u brush against them, in which case they smell absolutely delicious. After a closer inspection ill probably chop her mid week, think she can still support herself for that long. Have noticed the fan leaves yellowing much quicker now that shes not getting any more nutes.

Just to give you an idea, the is taking up probably close to 40% of my space since she is so wildly long branching. But the others are more dense and better trich coverage. Here are 2 of her sisters i plan on pushing much longer. And in the background of every pic is the branchy sister

Didnt have a journal for these plants going so ill post her final pics here. Overall happy with the yield and expect future ones to be much better. Also just as i suspected the tap root never made it through the bottom of the plug i used, which im sure caused some stunting.
